“Babe, guess what!” I barged in our house, I was so excited that grandma was willing to give me and Drew a chance. “Somebody is happy.” He came out of the kitchen holding a sandwich and that’s when I ran to his arms and that's was how his plate crashed down on the floor. “Grandma agreed to letting us date.” I was too happy that we didn’t have to sneak around anymore, we now could be a normal couple not hiding from anybody.
“Date?” He asked pushing me away from him, he didn’t seem pleased which was weird because he should be as happy as I am. I thought this is what he also wanted, for us to be in the public eye as a couple. “Mfundo I thought we were already dating and were way passed that stage.” His voice clearly indicated he felt some kind of way about what I just told him. “Yeah but we were dating without my family’s approval but now we have my grandma’s approval.” I said, why couldn’t he see my point, we didn’t have to sneak around anymore. “I thought you were going to tell them about us trying to get married.” He said with a frown. “Drew why ain’t you at least happy about this? This is baby steps. I thought we could at least just get my family to get used to us as a couple before we got married.” I said hoping at least he sees this from my point of view. “Did you even tell your grandma about us being engaged?” He asked and that’s when I nodded. I don’t know why he is persistent that we get married, we are both still young, we have our whole lives to get married. I bit on my fingers nervously when I saw the look he was looking. “I’m sorry babe, you’re right. We have to start somewhere.” He said now his beautiful smile coming on his face, I could tell he wasn’t 100 percent happy but at least he was 10 percent happy which was enough for me at this moment because I loved seeing him smile even it wasn’t genuine just like right now.

“Come here.” He pulled to him and I wrapped my arms around his neck and once again his forehead was on mine. “I’m sorry I just acted offish, I just want to make you mine forever.” He said now caressing my cheek and I found myself smiling so hard at that from him,not mention how his eyes were glowing so beautiful. I loved the way he admired me. I loved the way he loved me even though I did sometimes feel like we were moving too fast but everything about us just felt right and I loved doing this whole relationship thing with him.

“I love you.” He placed his lips on mine allowing them to linger there and I could feel my heart melt at that action of his. My heart was slowly and completely becoming too attached to him and I wondered if this was going to be some lesson or was it real love? God knows I wanted to be real.

“Thank you.” He placed a kiss on my cheek. “Uhm I also scored us dinner with my family tonight.” I wasn’t sure how he was going to react to these news. “Dinner?” He raised an eyebrow and that’s when I nodded nervously.I just pray he agrees. “Uhm yeah, I promise you it’s not going to be all bad.” I was now selling him dreams. I knew the dinner was going to be a disaster with my uncle there. “Your family are not really fans of me.” He spoke softly, I could tell he was nervous now. “Uhm we can change all that tonight.” I said with another hopeful smile. “I hope your family ain't trying to kill me.” He said,I could tell he was scared which made me giggle. “I wouldn’t let them.” I placed a kiss on his rose tattoo, there was just something about this tattoo on his neck that just stood out for me like all the time. “Keep on kissing on my tattoos and I swear to God by dinner time you won’t be a virgin no more.” Blunt ass. “Who said I wanted to still be a virgin by dinner time?” I placed another peck on his rose tattoo and in a swift motion we were now making out, I was picked up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He moved us to the couch where he laid me softly on the couch with him never getting off me and we continued to making out. My heart was on some thunder mission and at this rate I'm sure he heard it. “Uh Drew.” My blood was pumping so hard as he continued grinding on me so hard. I tried reaching for his pants. I just wanted him to give me the real feeling of his touch. “Fuck Mfundo.” He moved from me like He just got electrocuted. I sat up slowly as I watched him run a hand over his face like something was stressing him out now. “Did I do something wrong?” I was confused, why was he stopping? Why did he move away from me like that. Did I just do something wrong with grabbing his pants. “I want to respect you and I want you to give yourself to me when you’re ready.” He breathed and that’s when I swallowed a lump. I was not expecting that. “Uhm Drew I’m sorry, I didn’t mean-“ He just started kissing me once again cutting me off and the make out began once again and this time it’s escalated to the point were clothes were flying everywhere in this lounge. What happened to waiting till I was ready. “Shit.” He pulled back again like something just reminded him of his words. “Fuck I can already tell our sex life is going to be epic.” He said with a laugh as he got off the couch leaving me half naked. There was a part of me that was disappointed that he didn’t finish what he just started. Maybe I was ready for what he think I wasn't ready for. “I uh need some uh water.” I said getting up from the couch.

“Hey.” He pulled me to him when I tried to walk pass him. “Mfundo I’m willing to wait because I do really love you.” He placed a kiss on my lips and I formed a small smile. If only he knew I was just ready for him but I couldn’t really just say that. “I love you for that.” I said with a smile before I moved from him and took this huge breath which he didn't even notice me taking.

“And oh no baggy jeans, you need a suit.” I said before I walked to the kitchen and I could hear him whine.

Priya POV.

“Priya, this is a pleasant surprise.” That was Jay on my small phone screen. “Yeah it is.” I said with a smile myself. “So how can I help you Priya?” I knew he was confused as to why I was calling him cause we weren't close but I knew he was my only shot at getting what I want. “Uhm Jay I know you love Mfundo and I know you know that Drew isn’t good for her.” I said and that’s when he raised his eyebrows like I just caught him off guard. Jay and I were the same. He wanted Mfundo and I wanted Drew. We both just had to team up to break them up and than we both get what we want.

“Look Priya, I don’t know where all of this is coming from but Drew is my homeboy and Mfundo is also my homegirl and I think they are good together.” He was just lying through his teeth, his face couldn’t even hide his love for Mfundo on this small screen of my phone.

“I don’t know who you trying to convince but it can definitely never be me.” I said but he just scoffed. “Priya is there a reason as to why you called?” He asked clearly annoyed now. “I have a plan on how you can get your soulmate back but you’re going to have to fly down here.” I said but that’s when the line went dead. He just hung on me. “Really?” I couldn’t believe he would just give up on love so easy like that. I decided to call him once again. I needed him in order to win Drew.

“Seriously Priya, I don’t have time for your stupid games.” I could see the irritation on his face. “Clearly you don’t love as much as I thought you did.” I said but his response was a roll of eyes. “Well Drew still doesn’t know you once dated his girlfriend and we both know if he found out you stand a better chance of getting Mfundo back.” I said being serious now. I don’t know why he’s acting all better now. We both know he would do anything to have Mfundo back. “Why would I hurt Mfundo? What makes you sure that that would break them up?” He was bored. “Because Shaun hates dishonesty.” I said and that’s when he laughed. “Shaun?” He laughed like he just realized something. “Look Priya, I don’t want to be part of whatever sick game you’re trying to play. Drew or should I say Shaun is not going to leave Mfundo for you. He may hate dishonesty but he loves Mfundo now bye.” He hung on me once again and I wanted to smash this phone on the wall but than remembered I wasn’t that privileged to be smashing phones on the walls. It literally would take me months to have another phone so I’ll try him once he has thought about this but I know he’ll come around and he will realize that we need to team up in order for us to have our soulmates back.
