Hey guuuuys :)
Chapter 6
Addie’s POV
I straightened my dress for the hundredth time as I watched my reflection in front of my full length mirror. The girl who stood before me is someone that I'm not really comfortable to be. Wearing the strapless, floor length, maroon, empire styled evening gown, my hair has been pinned up and my face that I had applied make up looked beautiful with the smoky eyes, the rosy red cheeks and the red lips, which kind of surprised me because I have no knowledge in applying makeup at all. I guess Jann's tips worked.
"Are you ready yet?" Gab asked while waiting outside my bedroom door.
"I'll be out in a bit! Wait for me downstairs!" I quickly sprayed my Chanel no. 5 perfume which I used for special occasions only and grabbed my purse. I 'elegantly' ran towards my door by almost tripping on my shoes.
Damn you Stilettos!
I quickly recomposed myself and slowly walked down the stairs. I then went inside the living room where I found my brother sitting on the couch while texting.
"Where's mom and dad?" I asked him as I looked around for our parents. He immediately stood up and smiled at me.
"Oh, they're waiting for us inside the car" he said while still smiling at me.
"Okay? Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked curiously because he's stare and smile is kind of creeping me out.
"I'm staring at you because you look really incredible tonight" I was taken aback by his compliment because I never actually thought I looked 'incredible', what I thought was I looked 'pretty' or maybe 'beautiful'. I looked at Gab's outfit as well, he was wearing a black tux and a maroon tie, which matched my dress. Jann must’ve given to him because he’ll be my date for the night. He surprisingly fixed his hair in an elegant and formal way which made him looked much more handsome than he already is.
"You don't look bad as well" I smirked as I look into his reaction. He frowned, probably not liking my comment judging by the fact that he's much more vainer than Jann, he takes his looks as his main priority, specially his hair.
"Come on, let's go" he muttered
"Giving me the silent treatment are we?" I asked him jokingly. He continued to mess with me by not answering my question and walking straight ahead. Being the gullible and loving little sister that I am, I immediately felt bad and apologized to my brother.
"Brooooo, I was just joking! You look dashingly handsome as always! You look like a supermodel and smokin' hot in that tux! Wait I just called my brother hot, ew" I shouted as I launched in his back and hugged him painfully hard.
"HEY!! Don't hug me that tight!! You'll wrinkle my suit!" he shouted as he quickly unwrapped my arms out of his stomach. I just gave him a playful smile and stood on my toes. With that I quickly ruffled his perfectly coiffed hair with my hand.
"HEY!! I spent an hour and a half styling my hair!" he shouted.
"You still look good in it bro, besides the dirty shaggy style of hair suits you more. Not the posh formal style" I told him while smiling.
"In that case..." he walked towards my back and quickly pulled the pins that was holding my hair up. With that, ringlets of my brown hair fell down to my shoulders and my back.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING??!!" I shouted.
"I like your hair down, not up" he smirked and walked towards the front door.
