Your Saving Grace

You fought off your stepfather for several years, trying to deny him, only to be punished. Your mom never stood up for you. She was so jealous of you that she took joy in seeing you hurt.

Your only saving grace was your Grandmother. When your mom and stepdad wanted you out of the way you were sent to stay with her. Sometimes for a night or a few weeks.

They always covered up your bruises or made excuses when you couldn't hide them from your Grandmother. Your stepfather said not to tell or he would do more than hurt her.

This time while staying with her, you told her all about meeting Yoongi again and the card he gave you. Encouraged by your loving Grandmother you decided to go see him.

A couple of days later your Grandmother dropped you off at Bangtan Hope Music. She kissed you and you let her know you would ride the bus home. You kiss her on the cheek and wave goodbye to her.

You enter the tall office building and walk to the receptionist's desk and present the card. The seven helped you secure a job with the company and spent a lot of time with you.

Your Grandmother had talked your mom into letting you stay with her longer. She was trying to help you secure an apartment where your mom and stepdad couldn't find you or get access to you but it was taking longer than you both thought it would.

You remember hearing them argue on the phone with your grandmother demanding she send you back home. The only person to ever stand up for you, other than Yoongi in school, was your Grandmother.

She was able to get your mom to consent to let you stay longer by threatening to take her name off the life insurance policy your Grandmother had and out of her will.

You ended up staying with her for a year while working for Bangtan Hope Music.  A couple of times a month your mom tried to sweet talk your grandmother into sending you back home with words of how much she missed her only daughter and how she loved you, but your Grandmother wouldn't have it.

During the time spent at your Grandmothers and working with the others at Bangtan  Hope Music, Yoongi watched you blossom into the lovely woman he knew you to be. You two had started spending more and more time together, just the two of you and you felt complete when with him.

They all came to love you as a sister and were overprotective of you, especially Yoongi. The guys knew Yoongi had plans to ask you to be his girlfriend a week before they had to leave on their first world tour. The members were so happy for you both.

With promises of keeping in touch and amidst plenty of hugs and kisses, especially from Yoongi, the boys left to begin their world tour thinking you were safe.

A week after they had gone your mom showed up at Bangtan Hope Music, telling them that you were underaged and you did not have her consent to work. She even had paperwork to show them and they could do nothing to stop her from taking you away.

While on tour they started wondering why they couldn't get a hold of you. Yoongi wondered why your nightly conversations suddenly became shorter and less frequent till they stopped altogether. None of them could get a hold of you and there was never any answer at your Grandmother's.

Fourteen months later when the boys got back from the world tour Yoongi and the others desperately tried to find you, all with no luck.

Your Grandmother's house had been sold and no one had any information on where she was. One of their managers was able to find an obituary showing your Grandmother had passed away not even a month after they had left to tour.

Yoongi, consumed with finding you, did the bare minimum at work, just enough to keep the bosses off his back. He was spending every free moment he had trying to find you.

Every night he fell asleep with his phone in his hand. Displayed on his phone is a picture of you and him embracing, that Jimin took the night before they left on tour.

The members were very concerned because Yoongi was even letting his work slip and noticed him lost in thought during dance practice and even during live performances, he would miss his cue.

It was breaking their hearts as surely his was breaking over you.
