Whiskey and Tangerines

We Have You Now

Yoongi sits in his chair with you cradled in his arms. You have your arms around his neck holding on never wanting to let go.

 You miss being held so warmly in his arms, his scent of whiskey and tangerines is so comforting.

The others sit around the little studio jostling for the best place to sit. 

Jungkook achieving the prime location closest to you, tells his hyung, "We saw her running from the lobby but before we could catch up to security . . ." 

Jimin interrupts, "They didn't hear us calling for them to stop."

Taehyung says, "Sorry hyung, we wanted to help her."

Yoongi looks at them, "It's ok."

 He then caresses your hair and whispers to you, "It's ok now. You're safe here with us."

Jungkook gently pats your shoulder and Jimin kneels next to the chair and takes your hand in his, "You are here, everything will be ok now."

Taehyung comes around the front of the chair and group hugs you all. "We have you now, you're home."

In Yoongi's studio he is still holding you but you are no longer crying, just very quiet with the occasional sniffle. You are drawing strength from being held so close to him.

"Alexandra, look at me," Yoongi says as he gently lifts your face up towards his. "I'm so glad you came to me . . . to us. We were shocked when we found out your mom came and took you from the company. We tried to contact you and your Grandmother."

Jimin says, "And when we could get in contact with you the calls, and texts would always drop."

"Yeah, we kept getting cut off or losing the connection." Jungkook pouts.

"I'm sorry that was my stepdad's doing." You look up into Yoongi's warm eyes.

"I'm so sorry Yoongi, I had nowhere else to go." You lower your head embarrassed.

Jimin tells you, "You were right to come to us, Al."

Tae and Jungkook nod in agreement. Jimin says, "When we found you were gone we searched everywhere we knew to try and find you."

Jungkook smiles, "This time you stay with us."

Taehyung smiled reassuringly, "Yeah, you stay with us and go with us, on tour, to media events anything. We will never leave you behind again."

You don't feel you belong with them anymore, you have nothing and are no one. "I really shouldn't be here. I don't belong here . . . I don't belong anywhere anymore." 

You start to cry again. "After losing my Grandmother while you were on tour, I lived in hell and now I don't even have that."

Yoongi wipes your tears, "Don't say  such things, you do belong, you belong with us."

 He is thinking 'You belong with me.' but he doesn't say it out loud in case you don't feel the same about him since so much time has passed.  

Jimin solemnly asks "What happened to your Grandmother?"

 With a sad voice, you tell him "A few days after my mom brought me home my Grandmother had a car accident on the way over to the house to get me. We were told the brakes on her car failed" 

Shocked they look at each other. Each suspecting your stepdad had a hand in it. None of them were aware of just how right they were.

Yoongi softly says, "We are so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. When our manager said he found an obituary for her it broke our hearts."

There is a knock at the door, Yoongi looks a Jungkook, "Bun see who that is."

Jungkook opens the door and there is Namjoon, Hobi and Jin. He steps aside to let them in.

Yoongi sighed, "It's getting a little crowded in here."

They laugh at him but still crowd in happy to see you.

Namjoon comes to you and pulls you up into a hug. Then Hobi and Jin both take turns hugging you. Hobi squeezes you just a little tighter and he wipes a tear. 

"We are so happy to see you again Alexandra," he says.

Namjoon straightens with the authority he holds being the leader making an important decision, he says, "Get your things you're moving in with us, today, right now."

You lower your head and Yoongi reaches out to take you back in his arms. You rest your head on his chest, "I don't have anything left to get." 

 Yoongi kisses the top of your head and before he can speak Taehyung takes both your hands in his smiling.

"Then get ready, we are going shopping." His boxy smile brightens your heart but you don't move from Yoongi. 

"Come on, besides Tannie needs a new bowtie." he encourages you.

Jimin laughs, "Any excuse to shop." 

You giggle now, you can't help it, their love and concern and brotherly teasing makes you feel better.

"Will you go Al?" Tae asks and you nod. He claps with joy then takes hold of your hand smiling his cute boxy smile at you, "Welcome home Noona." and he kisses your cheek. 

This causes a chain reaction and the rest step to give you a kiss on the cheek welcoming you 'home'.
