A/N: Also, this song plays in my head every time there's a chase moment...so...ENJOY

It was midnight, and Meilin was allowed to exit the hospital feeling like a new person...minus the slight back pain. As she stepped out of her room, her mother immediately embraced her. "What the...-"

"Honey!? Are you alright!? The doctor told me you have horrible food poisoning! Are you okay now?" Jing cupped her daughter's face with a distraught expression. Any other mother with common sense would do this.

"Ma! I'm fine!" Mei calmed her mum by grabbing her wrists gently but firmly enough to give her the message.

"Oh, thank the stars...Come on, let's go home and get some proper rest..." Jing held Mei close, unaware of what was to come.

Since Meilin felt guilty for missing out on school, she decided to go...She is such a brave and naive soul...she must be protected.

"I'll be going!" She called out to her mum.
"Don't die!"
"That's comforting..."

Jing chuckled. "C'mon, you'll be late again..!"

Mei chuckled as well before heading outside. For some reason, her eyes were more sensitive to the light, but it wasn't too strong. "Wow...it's beaming today..." She muttered to herself before continuing.

Meilin felt more sensitive to the outside because of the vibrations being loud for her as she walked to the bus. Again, it was crowded like usual. The girl was just squished as she stood there, holding onto the pole. But when the bus made a sudden stop, it flung her. "WAAAH!"

Everyone just awkwardly looked at her as she quickly got off her stop. "Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry!" She repeated, jogging off the bus.

Meilin fixed her hair as she got off, she was tackled in a hug once again. 'Why do I need to be tackled every time I exist!?'

"Mei! You're here!" The person shouted excitedly...she knew exactly who it was.

"Pavi, don't worry! I'll always be here!" She comforted, trying to be as quiet as possible as she pat his back.

He gave her another tight squeeze before letting her go. "Are you okay? You look more...stressed..." Pavitr pointed to her visible eye bags.

"Yeah! I'm fine! I just stayed up too late!" She patted his shoulder in an attempt to reassure him.

He shook his head like a disappointed family member. "I'm sure you know better than that..."
"...I know..." She mumbled.

Just when she was about to take her hand off the male, Mei's hand caught onto the right side of his hair. "What the...-"

"Ow! Uhh...Can you...let go..?" Pavitr grabbed her wrist as he tried to move his head away.

"I'm trying!" She tugged harder, making him hiss in pain.
"You need to let go!"
"I CAN'T!"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T!?!"

She sighed. "Okay, hold still." She gripped his shirt to gain momentum to pull herself back, only managing to get her other hand stuck on his uniform.

"AAAAHHHHHH!!!-"
