Anastasia's POV (Edited)

It was about close to 8 in the morning. I was sitting in my dining area. Usually, there's no-one in the house with me at this hour. My parents died when me and my brother were young. Me to be precise was very little.

Since then caretaker had been looking after us. Of course, she's gone now because me and Kayden don't need looking after anymore. So, now there's only a cook who came here everyday to make lunch and dinner.

We don't have breakfast as it will cause us to sit together. Seeing our deteriorating relationship over the years, we can't afford sitting together enjoying breakfast like there's not an elephant in the room.

I sipped my coffee before standing up. I was dressed in my formal office clothes. I usually hates this type of clothing because I felt like they're uncomfortable.

But what can I say. Being a COO had its own drawbacks. I was wearing a black high waisted pants with white full sleeves top to compliment it. My red hairs were tied in half. I was wearing black heels.

I grabbed my clutch before exiting the house. I walked towards the garage before opening it. I took out my car before sitting under it. I revived the engine before driving my way to the company..

Reaching the office building, I was greeted politely by the guard standing at the entrance. I passed him a small smile in appreciation and made my way inside the building. The receptionist smiled in my direction before speaking

"Good morning, Ms. Richmond. I just want to say to you that there's someone waiting for you in your office."

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion before I asked

"Did that person tell his name?"

She shook her head before speaking

"But he told me not to tell you. He said you know him."

I was hella confused now. I just nodded my head before walking to the private elevator. As I reached my floor, I stepped out of the elevator.

My assistant Drew walked to me before he opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off by saying

"I know there's someone waiting for me in my office. Can you please go and fetch me my schedule for today."

He nodded his head before walking to his own cabin. I took a deep breath before making my way to my cabin.

I entered inside and saw a siloutte sitting with his back towards me. I cleared my throat before saying

"So, you said I know you. Can you tell me how?"

I heard a deep chuckle before the person stood up from his chair. He turned around and my eyes widened.

"You!"
