I started walking towards town. In a distance I saw a family watching a movie through a window. This wasn't normal. What had I been thinking...
I finally reached town. The barber shop, the diner, the shopping center, I didn't know what to do so I went into an ally between a restaurant and the mattress store, hid behind a dumpster and covered myself up with my bloody baby blanket...
Later that night an employee of the restaurant brought out the trash. I made sure not to let myself be seen. I looked through the bag and found a half empty bottle of water and a bunch of perfectly good donuts that weren't sold.
I knew that they weren't sold because my mom took me here before. She told me this is where I'd end up if I ever misbehaved again. I didn't think she was serious. Anyway, I asked her what I'd eat and she told me they throw away all the unsold bread. I guess telling me that was her way of being nice.

The next couple days weren't easy, but at least I found a pillow in the dumpster of the mattress store. That really helped. I didn't know what to do so for the next couple months I just did the same thing on repeat. Watch the family's enjoy there food through the window, wait for the garbage to be taken out, eat and to end things off, cry myself to sleep.
The next month later I found a stray cat, that sniffed me and ran away. I never did see him again.
After that I just decided to continue my daily cycle.
Thats when I lost track of time. I couldn't tell how long it's been since I had left. As more time went by I became more depressed. I had nothing to do and nowhere to go, so I just dealt with. Things couldn't always be this bad...
A long time later I found that the restaurant had closed down. I guess I was right. Things could be even worse.
