It felt like only a few minutes while you both explored the waterfall, and most of the area around it when you found out the sun was starting to set, and your family would be looking for you both.....
"We should head back," you said to Kiri, as you started to get out of the pond that was inclosing the waterfall. She nodded before following you out of the pond as well. You flinched as you felt Kiri's tail accidentally swipe against your thigh as she went past you. The cold droplets dripped off of your body as the wind started to send a cold breeze. You followed Kiri as you both started to head back to your new families 'den'. You let out a sigh without even realizing it just thinking about your old home that you and the Sully family had spent years in. Even if you weren't apart of their family or clan at the time you still had a right to miss the forest. It was where you would be most of your life and where you had been growing up. In a lab in a forest filled with creatures beyond comprehension and Navi.
"Are you okay?" You felt Kiri grab right wrist as she questioned you. You looked her in the eye before nodding back in response. She just nodded back before you both continued to walk across the shoreline of the beach. It was low-tide right now and all the seashells from when it was hide-tide that had washed up on the shoreline. One caught your eye though...it was a teal Ish blue colored one.... with a mix of purple in it. You stopped following behind Kiri and walked over to the shell before kneeling down and picking it up. You started to examine its texture and coloring. It looked now like a mix of purple and blue with teal specks here and there. The texture was Offley smoothed, and it had jagged edges.
"It's a pretty shell," Kiri told you before you handed it to her. You watched as her finger glided along the jagged edges of the shell. She also seemed interested in the shell. You chuckled a little bit at this, which seemed to of caught her attention.
"What?" She asked with a little smirk on her face.
"Nothing, nothing, just you caught the same interest in the shell as I did. Didn't know you could see that well." You joked along to her. She let out a quiet scoff before hitting your arm with her free hand.
"Hey!" You did the same thing she did back to her, and you both broke out into a quiet but also loud laughter.
"What are you laughing about?" An annoying voice- *cough cough* You mean lovely voice called from ahead of you.
"Nothing, maybe how your face looks like a ball," Kiri responded before you and her broke into another round of howling laughter.
"Hey!" Lo'ak responded in an irritated, but still playful tone.
"Not our fault you were born like that~!" You added making him start to laugh as well with you and Kiri.
"Where have you two been?!" Another voice called from behind you, Kiri, and Lo'ak. You all turned towards the voice, and you all were quiet.
"We were exploring the area since we want to know our new home better." Kiri explained. Neytiri was standing there. Tuk beside her while she was starting to check you and Kiri. After she was done, she grabbed Kiri and your hand and started dragging you both back while Lo'ak followed behind you both. You let out a small groan as she did so. Not liking the idea of being dragged across the clearing to your 'new den's.' When you five arrived Tuk raced off elsewhere while you and Kiri got a lecture and Lo'ak was sent to his room. When Neytiri finally finished her lecture, she walked away to go put Tuk to bed while you and Kiri just looked at each other. Silence filled the room until you both broke into laughter.
"Could we of been lost? The island isn't that hard to locate in right?" You chuckled to Kiri who shook her head.
"We could of been lost but were to smart so we didn't get lost, or we have good photographic memory." Kiri replied.
