Nami was standing around Hayato and Yukio as the two of them were chatting together. Nami didn't have the energy to talk and was fine just listening to the two.
Soon, the three of them soon heard loud squeals and mutters coming from one side of the village.
"What is that?" Hayato asked.
"I don't know but we better check." Yukio replied.
The three of them moved towards the noise, rummaging through other villagers who were also trying to see what was happening.
"MOVE IT!" Hayato shouted to assert authority.
"Please." Yukio added on.
"Please!" Hayato mockingly replied, "Pathetic."
When all of them got to see what was happening, they all couldn't believe their eyes.
Sakuya was gripping onto his left wing which was broken. Claret was dripping all over the floor, leaving a red trail. The blood coated whatever was left of his wing and the hand that was holding onto it.
Nami's eyes went wide with horror as she saw the sight, terrified of the tragedy happened to her love.
"Let us through, we need to get to the hospital!" Karasu was in front of his brother, trying to pave a way for him.
"Karasu!" Hayato yelled, trying to attract the Tengu's attention.
"Hayato!" Karasu responded, "Come here, we're going to need help!"
"You heard the man! Let us through!" Hayato commanded.
The Tengu soon let Hayato and Yukio make their way to their injured friend, but stopped carving a path before Nami could reach them.
"Let her... through." Sakuya exhaled through the pain.
"But Sakuya—"
"That's an order!" Sakuya grunted.
The Tengu soon made way for Nami as she joined the four Yokai. She soon helped her fiancé up and her his arm around her neck for support. She soon saw the stares of everyone that was judging her.
"Let's go." Karasu commanded.
Everyone nodded and promptly took Sakuya to the hospital. Nami couldn't ignore the whispers of the crowd, whether they were talking about Sakuya or her. Nami soon began to feel sicker as looked upon the injuries of her lover, the smell of Sakuya's metallic blood and the talk of the town disorientating her.
When they made it, Sakuya was immediately rushed into a room. Nami eventually couldn't keep her nausea in and once Sakuya was gone, she ended up vomiting all over the floor. The hospital staff ended up having to clean it up begrudgingly as Nami felt shameful about it. Yukio kept trying to encourage Nami, saying that she put good effort in. But Nami didn't listen to it.
She was too focused on how that action would be received within the village. Just dating Sakuya was already enough to piss them off, how would her barfing all over the floor be treated? It was going to be talked about. They were going to talk about it. They were going to talk about it.
They were going to talk about it.
They were going to talk about it.
They were going to talk about it.
Stop talking about me. Stop staring at me. Stop mocking me. Stop laughing at me. Stop keeping me away from Sakuya. Stop saying I can't be his wife. Stop saying I am not good for him. Stop saying I am useless. Stop saying I am worthless. Stop acting like I'm the villain. Stop acting like I am hurting him.
