Chapter 5~ First Day Without Them
Too lazy to proof so please ignore mistakes.~Bella House ~
"Welcome back, Bellas." Chloe greeted the Bellas in a less than cheery way. "First things first, initiation."
"Do we have to do the oath this year? I'm just not feeling it and we'd have to change it anyway." Amy asked. "Normally, I'd argue that its a Bella tradition and we can't stray from tradition, but I agree. Let's just skip it."
"Okay. So we just party then?" Stacie asked. "I don't know if I feel up to that either." Amy replied and the girls mumbled in agreement.
Chloe looked at all of the sad faces of her fellow Bellas. They've been so gloomy and they've been ignoring all Bella responsibilities. Of course, so has she. After loosing her best friend, Chloe's life took a downward spiral. She's not herself anymore and someone has to pep these girls up. Beca would want them to continue, but she just can't seem to make herself do it.
"Alright Bellas, fall in line!" Someone barked. Recognizimg the voice, the girls immediately obeyed. "What the h*ll am I looking at?" Aubrey demanded as she paced in front of the girls. "One girl dies and the rest of you give up?"
"Aubrey, it was Beca."
"I don't care if it was freaking Katherine Junk herself, Chloe." Aubrey retorted, standing just inches from Chloe. Chloe nodded timidly and Aubrey began to pace again, turning her back to them. "It has been months since the passing of our beloved Beca. Was it heart breaking, of course. Do I miss her, you bet. But do I think she wants you to just sit here and ruin the good names we've created for the Bellas?" She quickly spun her heel to face them. "Not a d*mn chance." The girls stood at attention, soaking Aubrey's words in. "Your time for mourning as expired. It is time to move on, ladies."
"But-"
"No buts, Amy." Aubrey cuts her off, now standing inches from her. "Do you think that our bad*ss Beca would want you to just sit here and neglect your Bella responsibilities just because she is no longer with us?" Amy shook her head and Aubrey stepped back, "I can't hear you!" she yelled. "No!" the girls responded in unison. "Or would she want you to work your a*sess off and blow everyone away, bringing the Bellas to another national victory?"
"Yeah!" The girls replied. "We are done with the sitting around and feeling sorry for ourselves. In the words of Beca, sack up dude. From here on out you will be the best Bellas there have ever been. You will be loyal and energetic and most importantly, you will make Beca proud to have been able to call you HER girls. You will fight for tat trophy and we you will do it for our fallen star. Are you with me, Bellas?!"
"Yeah!" the Bellas yelled, feeling more pepped up. "Thank you, Brey." Chloe said as she wraped the blonde into a hug. "No problem, red." she replied with a smile and hugged her back as the other Bellas highfived and talked amongt themselves.
"Okay girls. Let's go party with our new Bella and some sexually confused Treblemakers!" Stacie yelled and the girls whooped in agreeance. Aubrey smiled at them before calming them down. "Girls!" she yelled over them an they turned to look at them. "Before you go party, I have something for you guys."
"Yeah, presents!" Amy said as she watched Aubrey pull something from her bag. Chloe gasped at the sight and took the little plaque from her friend's hands. "Beca Mitchell. Rebellious, bad*ss, acapella singer since 2012. Single handedly founded the Barden Bella sound." Chloe read the writing aloud, tearing up slightly. "Thank you, Brey." Chloe pulled Aubrey into another hug as tears rolled down her cheeks. "This means so much to me, to all of us."
