The Consequences

Before you could finish your sentence Kenma said, "look, it's not worth it. We need to make sure you're okay first." He picked up and started walking towards his car. One of the bystanders opened the passenger door and Kenma slid you in. He closed the door and started walking to get to the driver's seat. Kenma shot Suna a quick glance and winked at him. He got in the car and drove off.

The last thing you remembered was being carried to a car. Your head felt heavy, and your vision was blurry. As your eyes start to adjust to darkness you notice the shining moon all the way up in the sky.

You heard a soft voice coming from your left, "Hey, how are you feeling?"

You turn and notice a boy, blonde hair, streetlamps perfectly illuminating his face. Kenma drives with one hand and reaches out and uses the other to caress your cheek.

His hand is warm and soft.

"Yeah I'm fine, just a little dizzy. Everything just happened so quickly", you replied scratching your forehead. You looked down, feeling the bruises on your legs and cuts on your arms.

Kenma took his hand off your cheek, placing them both on the steering wheel. He felt anger take over his body and he clenched the wheel. He struggled to look you in the eye so he checked the rear mirror instead.

"It's all my fault, I should've seen this coming. Tsk, the whole Rintaro family is nothing but problems".

You notice his sour expression and you reach out to ruffle his blonde hair, "If it's anyone's fault, it's mine. If I were a better driver, I would have been able to beat her", you reply with a nonchalant tone.

My head feels so heavy and it's all hot in here.

The windows are down, the wind is blowing, and you're not wearing a seatbelt. You lower your window and slowly stick the upper part of your body out of the window, letting the wind brush through your hair. The air was cold and crisp, clashing itself onto your warm skin.

"Hey, h-hold on what are you doing", asked Kenma, caught off guard holding your waist with one arm making sure you don't  lose your balance.

"Relax, I just want to forget everything for a minute", you reply, closing your eyes and stretching your arm out.  The cold air sliding in between each of your fingers and brushing against your clothes.

You want more, "faster. Go faster".

Kenma takes a moment to really look at your face. He gazed at your closed eyes and flowing hair. Kenma grins and presses the gas. He  drives with a passion and skill that pushes the limits of the speed and capability of his car. If Kenma loses control of his car at this speed, both of you could get seriously injured or worse.  The corners are tight, the gas pedal is on the floorboard, and you're all in.

(At the same time Suna is left to deal with the aftermath)

"What do you mean, I tried killing them?" Henessey asked, completely offended.

Hennessey is a skilled racer known for being fiercely competitive and reckless on the track.

"I just thought we'd have a little race. It's not my fault if they weren't ready for it," she said, throwing her hands up in the air with exasperation.

Suna is pissed. "Are you serious? You could have killed them! Do you not realize how stupid and dangerous that was?" Suna is frustrated with Hennessy.

Henessey doesn't understand why Suna is making a big deal out of this. They were just having a little fun and it's not like you got that hurt or anything. Suna needs to relax and not be so dramatic, as far as she is concerned.

Henessey continues to argue. "I don't know what your problem is, Suna. It was just a bit of fun."

Suna needs to chill out and stop being so dramatic, she thought.

Hennesey shoves Suna out of the way to get in and drives off. Suna feels like his entire world came crashing down in an instant. He takes out his phone and tries to call you but you don't pick up. He sighs and starts walking towards his car. A group of people walk up to him.

Oikawa: "Suna, what were you thinking letting Henessy drive?"

Tsuki: "Yeah, can you explain how you could be so careless? Henessy is seriously crazy. This is not okay."

Iwaizumi: "You need to control your sister, or else someone will get seriously hurt."

Suna: "I know, I know. I'm sorry, but Henessey just wanted a race and I didn't think it would turn out like this."

They all look at Suna with disappointment and walk off. Suna clutches his fists and feels a wave of anger rush over him.

Suna thinks to himself, "This is so fucking unfair. It's not my fault. It's Henessey who decided to push it to the limit, not me. On top of thinks he can just leave with them? That cocky bastard."

"This is not over yet."
