Following their victory at the Korea Open, India's top men's doubles team of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy moved up to a career-high second spot in the most recent BWF rankings on Tuesday.

In the men's doubles rankings, Satwik and Chirag moved up a spot, replacing the Chinese team of Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang who they had upset in the Korea Open quarterfinals the week before. With victories at the Korea Open (Super 500), Swiss Open (Super 300), and Indonesia Open (Super 1000) this year, the defending Asian champions have 87,211 points overall.

The world number one pair of Fajar Alfian and Muhamad Rian Ardianto were defeated by Satwik and Chirag in the Korea Open last week after coming back from a game down. This was their fourth final of the year. The two are unbeaten in their last 10 BWF World Tour matches and have not lost a single final this season.

PV Sindhu, who has won two Olympic medals, managed to keep her standing in the top 17 after leaving the Korea Open early. Saina Nehwal, who won bronze in the London Olympics, has fallen one position to number 37.

The top-ranked shuttler in India is still HS Prannoy, who is now ranked 10th in the men's singles standings, which are currently held by Victor Axelsen of Denmark. Lakshya Sen, the champion of the Canada Open, dropped to world number 13 after skipping the Korea Open, but Kidambi Srikanth, who has been in poor form, is still in the top 20.
