Seeing that events were plunging downhill, Tony decided that the best action was to stop any further people from getting hurt. He exclaimed, "Madam Colipan! Please tell your soldiers to stop!"

She did not listen, but instead removed the sword from its sheath, revealing its thick, shining blade. It was so majestic that one could almost see its power radiating from it. She could not hold her urge any further, and she swung the blade in the air, letting out a white stream of energy. It traveled through the room at incredible speed and struck six men at once, sending them flying backwards and screaming in agony. They landed hard on the ground, and blood seeped out from their bodies as they moaned.

Tony opened his mouth in horror and ran up to Stephen and the remaining men, pushing them towards the exit. "Get out of here!"

"Is this the place for you to come and go as you wish? Don't think it's that easy!" Madam Colipan hollered. She raised the sword and swung it through the air once again.

"No!" Tony threw his body forward and collided with the stream of energy, feeling a blast of pain penetrate his chest. He spun a full circle before landing on the floor. Although he had a strong reserve of mana, the damage he had suffered was enough to take the lives of several ordinary men, and he vomited a mouthful of blood that blended into the deep red of the carpet.

"Tony!!!" Ada screamed. She pushed away the servants that were holding her back and dropped down to the floor next to her groom. "Mother, please stop! Tony is hurt!"

Madam Colipan took a few steps forward, clutching the Dragon Sword tightly in her hand. "Ada, move out of the way. Once I finish this man for good, this sword will be all ours!"

Ada shifted in front of Tony's limp body and said, "If you want to touch him any further, then you have to kill me first!"

"Guards, take Ada into her room," Madam Colipan ordered.

Several armed soldiers grabbed ahold of Ada by her arms, but she wrestled against them with all her strength. "Mother! I will die in front of you if you don't listen! I mean it!"

"Ada..." Tony managed to utter in a weak voice, but he was helpless and could not move an inch.

Ada looked back at his frail body, and her heart ached at the thought that she was responsible for bringing him to this condition. She knew that no matter what, she needed to get Tony to escape and bring the sword home with him. She thought of the only way for her mother to release the sword, and she plunged herself forward and let the blade penetrate her chest.

Her mother let out a shriek. "ADA! What on earth are you doing?!" She instantly let go of the sword, and Ada fell back while clutching the blade with her hands.

"Ada!!" Tony caught her as she landed in front of him. He gasped as blood began oozing out from her dress. "Why are you so foolish, Ada?"

"The sword...take the sword..." Ada mumbled under her breath. Tony saw that the blade was deep within her chest and lifted his hand to grab onto the handle, but he knew that the moment he pulled it out, she would die. He summoned all his remaining strength and stood up with Ada in his arms.

Madam Colipan was frozen in front of him, and he could see the immeasurable remorse on her face at the catastrophe she had caused. "Ada, I didn't mean to hurt you! A-are you going to leave your mother?" she said.

Ada was slowly losing consciousness and could not notice her mother's words. Tony carried her to the doors, and Stephen ran up to him.

"Tony, you're injured! Let me carry her," Stephen said. Tony shook his head as he could not bear to let go of his dying love.
