If it were my last day on earth,
I'd yearn to hold you close,
Plant a tender kiss on your forehead,
Caress your neck with gentle grace,
And depart with a smile on my face,
Lying bare on your comforting chest.
If ever you fall ill or feel weak,
Don't fret, for I'll be there for you,
These aren't mere empty words I speak,
I'll make nourishing soup, warm and true,
Carefully feeding you with a spoon in hand,
Beside you, I'll stay, helping you rest,
Locking fingers with yours,
we'll withstand,
Telling you, "Worry not, love, be at your best."
I may not be the guy from the books,
Far from perfection, I must confess,
But you, my love, resemble those princess looks,
In my heart, you're a treasure, nothing less.
