POV: Larissa Weems
I was already so exhausted with a new girl, Wednesday, Morticia's daughter of all people, entering halfway through the semester.
I was about to head to bed, and as I was leaving my office, I heard the phone ring. I turned back to my desk and picked up the phone, "Hello? Who is this?"
'This is the Jericho hospital. Is this Larissa Weems?'
"Yes"
'Oh, good. We are sorry to inform you that your niece, Adora Fitz-Amobi, has just entered the hospital in bad shape'.
Those words made my heart stop. Then a million questions entered my head: Why was my niece in the hospital? Why didn't they call my sister? Is my niece okay? Is my sister okay? Is their family okay? I took a deep breath and did my best to stay calm.
"Oh no, will she be okay?"
'We think so but we are still unsure. She is stabilized but she took some heavy damage.'
"Ok... Did you call my sister and tell her? I'm sure she is worried sick."
'...Well...That's the other thing...We are so sorry but, your sister is dead.'
"W-what but-but how?!"
'*Sigh*. You see mam' the reason your niece is here is because there was an explosion at her house. We found her unconscious a few feet away from the house... almost as if she knew something was going to happen. But your sister and the rest of her family were unaware that anything was wrong, and sadly were not prepared so they didn't survive. I'm sorry.'
"O-oh, o-o-okay. I'll come pick Adora up and bring here to live here. Is-is that okay?"
'Yes. That would be optimal.'
"Okay. I'll be there in a minute"
'Goodbye'.
After the call was dropped, I grabed my coat and rushed to my car, tears threading to spill. I got in and sped off twoards Jericho. Little did I know that a certan raven-haired goth-girl was watching me and wondering why I had left in shuch a frantic manner, so late at night.

After about 10 minutes of driving, I arrived at the hosptal. I got out, rushed to the front door and entered the hospital.
"Hello, I'm Larissa Weems and I'm here to pick up Adora Fitz-Amobi." I said as I made my way over to the front desk.
"Okay, let me see if your on the list", the lady at the front desk said as looked through a list of the people authroized to pick Adora up. "Ah, yes, here you are. Adora will be brought out to you in a moment. In the mean time, please sit down over in the waiting area."
I nodded in response and sat down in a seat.

I waited for about 30 miuntes and then a doctor brought Adora out to me. She looked so distroyed and sad. I have never seen her look like that before, Adora used to be this beautiful little girl who loved the world and everything in it, but then this happend and now her curled pig tails are drooping and her expression is downcast. I also noticed that she was holding onto her teddy bear like it was a life line and for her, it probably was something close to an emotinal life line.
"Hey Addie" I said softly so as not to scare her.
When she heard me, she looked up, ran to me and hugged me. I hugged her back and she started crying.
"I miss them" She said quitely so that only I could hear her.
"I know," I said back "me too".
She let go of me and looked up. "Can we go now?" She asked.
"Yes, yes we can".
"Goodbye, Adora. We'll miss you" The doctor said.
"I'll miss you too Mrs. Courtney" Adora said, waving.
I lead her out of the hospital and into my car. I got her buckled up and got in the drivers seat. When I looked back, Addie was already asleep. I smiled at her and started driving back to nevermore.

When we got to nevermore, I stoped the car and woke up Adora.
"Addie, its time to wake up."
Her eyes fluttered open and she looked at me.
"Where are we?" She asked.
"Your new home. Adora, welcome to nevermore."
