Watching you

New Arrival

The cops came after what seemed like forever.
They found no traces of forced entry and asked me if I invited anyone inside.
"Are you kidding me? Why would I call you guys if I let them in!?" I just stared at them.
"Ma-am, we are just here to get the facts" he said all to calmly.
"You want the facts? Here are the damn facts: I was upstairs. I heard a noise and I got scared. So I then headed over to my. Moms room and that's where I found her dead!" I yelled.

"Alright. Do have any idea why someone would want to do this?"the officer questioned.
"N-no! I don't know who would even think-
Then I remembered the dream, and the texts.
Should I really tell him about the dream? He might think I'm crazy. What about the texts? I decided against it. Just in case it was some dumb prank or something.
"Ma-am?"
"Oh ,yeah sorry. No I don't know anyone who would do this."
"Okay. We're going to take some pictures and gather evidence. Is there a friend you can stay with for the next few days? It shouldn't take long if everything goes smoothly. We just can't risk a crime scene like this being contaminated." stated the officer.

" Oh umm yeah sure. Just let me grab a few things then I'll be out of your way." I said.
"Here's my card just call me if anything happens or if you just want an update. I'll let you know as soon as we're done here. Thank you for you time" the officer smiled quickly and turned around to talk to some other officers.

"Shit. Who am I going to stay with? All my friends would try to smother me with sympathy and shit." I thought to myself.
"I'll just rent a room at the nearest hotel for a few days I guess."

I threw my bags into the back of my car. Then pulled out of my driveway and drove to the hotel. As I pulled into the parking lot I felt my phone buzz.
Expecting it to be the detective, I pulled it out. The message read:
Well well well. When in doubt, hide in a closet I guess. She put up a big fight Ashley. The police won't keep you safe for long. They don't even know who I am. Oh and if you even think about telling them about me, I'll kill everyone and everything you hold dear without any hesitation. Do you understand me?

"Holy shit! This guy killed me mom!" I thought to myself.
To say I was scared would be an understatement!
After ten minutes of just sitting frozen in my car, I finally grabbed by bag and ran into the hotel lobby.
"Oh look a new arrival!" Exclaimed the lobby boy.
"What do you mean?" I asked, a bit suspicious.
"Welcome home Ashley."
Then everything went dark and silent.
