Chapter 18: The Lonely Flower
Lurs continued his journey through the shattered world, driven by the relentless pursuit of understanding what it truly meant to be human. With his survival instinct as his compass, he constantly migrated, trying to find answers and purpose. However, the exposure to darkness made it challenging for him to adjust to the harsh sunlight, so he always wore a mask to protect himself.
One fateful day, Lurs came across a breathtaking field of flowers on his way to the next location. The sight of those delicate petals sparked an unfamiliar emotion inside him. He felt at peace for a moment, as if the beauty of the flowers held the key to some long-forgotten happiness.
However, his newfound tranquility was shattered by the sound of approaching bikes. Fearful of the danger they posed, he hid behind a nearby building, observing the group of vicious bikers as they stopped at the sight of the flowers. To his dismay, one of the bikers callously urinated on the flowers and carelessly dropped his cigarette, igniting a devastating fire that quickly spread.
Anger and hurt consumed Lurs, and he felt a switch within him as Oswin, his darker persona, took control. Oswin, embracing the chaos, moved swiftly through the shadows and planted explosive booby traps all around the bikers' camp. The enemies froze in fear as Oswin's terrifying presence surrounded them.
Standing atop a building, Oswin's face filled with pure intensity as he opened his arms wide. The wind blew through his dark hair, and he let out his words with a mix of calmness and chilling determination, his voice echoing through the air, penetrating the hearts of his enemies.
"I was born with something inside me that refuses to settle for mediocrity, and I embrace it fully. I am a warrior, a destroyer, a force of pure violence. My desire is to achieve glory through conquest and to leave my mark on history. I have no need for mercy or surrender. My conviction is unyielding, and I am unafraid to claim my place in this world. I will rise, and the world will tremble before my greatness."
As his words hung in the air, a mixture of awe and fear washed over the gang members. The camp erupted in flames as Oswin's explosive traps detonated, and the bikers' terrified screams echoed in the distance. White Wolf, the reckless and destructive persona within Lurs, reveled in the chaos, finding beauty in the devastation.
White Wolf's voice rang out, "This is beautiful, truly magnificent!"
Meanwhile, Melchior, the calm and wise persona, tried to intervene. "What have you done, Oswin? We were supposed to stay hidden in the shadows. Now you've drawn attention to us, and we may have made powerful enemies."
The gang leader, with a half-burned face, clutched the ground, trembling like a wounded animal. He spoke with a mix of fear and warning, "They will come for you, the most feared gang leaders. There are rumors of humans venturing out to hunt creatures, experimenting on themselves to gain supernatural abilities. Only three unknown individuals have succeeded, while the rest have met a gruesome fate."
As the sun set on the lonely flower field, Lurs, Melchior, Oswin, and White Wolf faced the consequences of their actions. The journey towards understanding what it truly meant to be human was far from over, and new challenges awaited them on their dark adventure. They were bound together, each persona a part of Lurs, and they would need to find harmony within themselves to conquer the trials ahead.
