Okay lets do this one more time. My name is Cassie Fox , I was bitten by a radioactive spider and for the last two years I've been the one and only spider-woman, I'm pretty sure you know the rest. I moved out of my aunt Mayfield's house, opened my own flower shop with the help of my best friend in the entire universe Ray Ryu, stopped some crime here and there, helped some old people find their pets, discovered the multiverse, explored the multiverse, and then I lost everything...

Cassie Fox or as the people of Nova York knew her, Orchid Weaver, swung through the streets of her city hurriedly. Being a superhero in Nova York was hard, someone always needed help and as a result Cassie was often late to certain events in her civilian life. Currently she was late to the date her boyfriend had set up for them by about five minutes.

She dropped into the alleyway behind the Fox Flower shop aka her pride and joy, her baby, her store. After making sure the coast was clear, Cassie rushed in through the back door tugging off her mask and changing into her civilian clothes in the storage room. She ran her fingers through her hair adjusted her dress and popped her head around the doorway when she heard the bell chime signaling someone had just entered the shop.

Her breath caught in her throat as she saw her boyfriend Shoto Todoroki, standing in the doorway scanning the shop for her, his silhouette illuminated by the slowly settling sun. His heterochromatic eyes locked with hers and Cassie sheepishly skittered out from the storage closet giving him an apologetic smile. " I was waiting in the car but you didn't come out so I decided to come check if you were okay." He stated in his smooth almost monotone voice that to anyone else might have thought lacked emotion but Cassie knew better.

" Should we reschedule the dinner reservations, you seem a little tired?" He asked and Cassie felt her heart melt at his concern. She practically leapt over her shops counter shaking her head frantically. " No! I- I mean no I'm okay, just got a new shipment of planters so I was setting them up in the back." She wished she didn't have to lie to him about being spider-woman but she didn't want to put him in danger, plus it was only a half lie that she had just told him. She really had gotten some new planters and she really had been arranging them in the storage room... just not at that moment.

Todoroki raised an eyebrow at her but simply shook his head. " You should have called me I would have helped you move them." He gave her a sideways glance as the two walked to his car after Cassie closed and locked her shop up. She looked down at the pavement frowning. " I didn't want to bother you while you were at work." She mumbled and nearly smacked into her boyfriend's car, not noticing as he came to an abrupt stop next to her.

The next thing she knew Todoroki had her chin between his thumb and forefinger, tilting her head up to face him while looking down into her eyes with a serious expression. Cassie felt like she would explode at any second under his intense gaze as it flickered across her features in a quick concerned examination. " It doesn't matter, I would drop everything I was doing at a moment's notice if you needed my help, you know that." Cassie's breath hitched and her cheeks burned with a deep blush. " I know. I'll call you the next time I get a delivery for the shop that I need help with." She finally gave in, unable to resist her boyfriend's words.

" Good." Was his reply as he opened the passenger side door for her, propping his arm on the top of the car and leaning down to brush his lips gently against hers. " Are you sure your feeling okay, I can just drive you home?" Cassie pressed her lips against his, shaking her head again. " No, I really want to go to dinner with you. I've been looking forward to this all week." The man sighed and closed the car door after she climbed in. Once he was also inside the car he turned the key and they were off to the restaurant.

The rest of the night was magical, after dinner he drove her out to the suburbs where the stars weren't blocked out by the city's light pollution and the two just sat on the hood of his car and star gazed. He dropped her at her apartment with a goodbye kiss leaving Cassie leaning against her door with the biggest smile.

She pressed her back against her apartment door sighing happily, if she were a cartoon there would be giant pink hearts floating around her right then. " I love that man so damn much." She chuckled as she pushed herself away from the door and ventured through her apartment and into her secret workspace area. She had developed her spider suit here, made her web shooters and discovered the multiverse in that very room. It was her second favorite place in the world, being wrapped up in Todoroki's arms was her all time favorite though.

Goldfish, her cat meowed from the door way and Cassie let her into her lab stroking the felines soft, fluffy orange fur. Goldfish hopped up on her desk and watched as Cassie fiddled with a device. " Okay Goldie where should we go today." She mused quietly to the cat who just stared at her like she was insane, Cassie stared back for a moment before turning to her work once more.

" Right right earth 1610, thank you for you valuable contribution Goldfish." Cassie laughs typing in the numbers to her device. A large flickering yellowish orange portal opens up in the corner of her lab and she salutes her cat who just meows in response. Goldfish, who was clearly unimpressed with her owners antics, watched Cassie disappear into the portal which closed behind her.
