Chasing a Memory ( Todoroki x Oc )

Cassie and Todoroki

Cassie was awakened from her sleep to the sound of the hospital room door opening and closing with a creek quickly followed by the sound of shuffling feet, more like several pairs of shuffling feet but she was too tired to crack her eyes open and see who had entered the room.

She could make out the hushed whispering of her classmates, some seemed rather distressed and others a little panicked. " I thought you said the doctors called to tell us she had woken up?" One of the voices, Mina presumably from the sound of it, asked in a not so quiet whisper.

Someone shushed her, also very loudly. " Hush, they told us that despite coming out of a two and a half week-long coma, she is very tired and will most likely spend most of her time asleep." Oh, IIda was here too, Cassie thought to herself.

More hushed voices could be heard up until Cassie felt the bed she was on dip under someone's weight quickly followed by the bed dipping on the other side as well. " I know your dumb ass isn't pretending to be asleep after you up and died on us for two fucking weeks." Cassie shivered feeling the glare of her best friend burning holes into her head.

The pinkette cracked her eyes open trying to adjust her vision to the darkened room, noting that on her left side was her boyfriend. Todoroki gently rubbed circles against her limp hand with his thumb, staring down at her quietly. He looked more tired than she felt.

And on her right sat Ray, who was much less lovingly glaring down at the poor girl. Her arms were crossed over her chest, her long blue hair gathered up in a high messy ponytail. " That's what I thought bitch." The red eyed girl scoffed, frowning and turning to look out the window despite the very much closed curtains that covered the view.

Cassie chuckled softly slowly patting the dragon girl's shoulder, she could tell that her friend was just trying to hide how worried she had been. Cassie knew her well enough to see when she was stressed and right now relief radiated off of Ray's body like a tidal wave.

" Cassie, you're awake!" Izuku shouted as he burst into the room, almost tripping over his feet in his rush to get inside. " Shut up you fucking nerd, can't you see she's clearly still feeling shitty!" The loud voice of Bakugo echoed through the room as he and Kirishima trailed behind the green haired boy. " Fox san! You're awake that's great we really missed having you around!'' the red head grinned at the girl in the hospital bed waving to her enthusiastically. Cassie did her best to wave back but moving too much still really hurt.

Uraraka and Mina were huddled together at the foot of her hospital bed, sobbing about how relieved they were, all while Momo was trying to calm them down reminding them to keep the volume down for the sake of both Cassie and anybody else who might have been trying to sleep.

Satou set a small cake in Cassie's lap rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment. " We really were worried you would never wake up Fox." His voice was small which was a shocking contrast with his normal deep tone of voice. Cassie looked down at the cake then up to her friend grinning happily. " Thank you Satou, if I had a fork on me I would be eating this right now but alas I do not."

Iida was trying to wipe the tears away from the corners of his eyes as he held his glasses in his free hand. " Such a touching reunion. It's great to have you back Fox." He stated with nod of his head as he placed his glasses back on his face. Denki, Tokoyami came in holding a suspiciously squirming trashbag. " Don't worry Fox, we got Mineta in the bag so he won't bother you." Denki flashed her a thumbs up and Cassie let out a weak laugh.

Jiro, Tsu amd Hagakura stood near the door, Tsu was holding a small fox plushie that she quickly handed to Cassie her cheeks slightly flushed. " For you ribbit." She explains as Jiro nods her head in agreement. " The three of us got it for you so you wouldn't be alone after visiting hours are over and they kick us out."

Ray spoke up glancing at Todoroki who still had yet to say a word to the pinkette. " Oh yeah a fork, you're obviously hungry so we'll go get you one. Come on guys." She herded the others out, gently closing the door behind her to give the two some privacy.

" Sho- '' Cassie began to speak but was cut off by Todoroki's lips pressing against hers. She made a noise of surprise but was quick to return the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck no longer caring about how painful it was to move her body, pulling the boy in closer to her as the kiss grew more heated.

Cassie was the first to pull away, her chest heaving up and down as she tried to catch her breath her cheek flushed bright red. " I thought I was going to lose you." Todoroki whispered, brushing his lips against hers gently while tucking a strand of her long pink hair behind her pointed ear.

" Marry me." Todoroki pulled away from Cassie grasping both of her hands in his, rubbing his thumb against the back of her hand in small soothing circles just like he had been doing when she woke up. Cassie's eyes widened in surprise, her cheeks flushing even more if that were somehow possible. " W-what?" She asked usure of if she had heard the boy right.

" Once we have graduated from U.A high school, marry me." The dual haired boy said once more and Cassie noticed that he seemed to be a little nervous. A wide grin broke out across her face as she threw her arms around Todoroki happily. " I will." She whispered in his ear kissing his cheek lovingly.
