chapter three : the first date

asiya's pov
9:30 am
thursday morning

i was facing the ceiling laying in my bra thinking about who i just saw . matt . he's so dreamy , so hot . i can't stop thinking about him . thankfully i got his number so i can text him anytime i please . and i'm pretty sure he goes to school here .

" asiya , hurry up and get ready ! we're meeting up with gia and the others for breakfast !" oh . i didn't know that . " okay ! give me a second ." i then pulled the sheets from my body and made my bed . i got a towel and was headed for the shower .

after the shower i dried my hair , straightened my hair , and curled the tips . then , i applied my makeup , which included of my lip gloss , mascara , etc .

" taylor , i'm ready !" i walked out of the bathroom to get my keys and phone . " alright then ! let's get going !!"

black pearl's cafe

me and taylor were the first ones out of our group there . everyone else followed . gia , like always when we made plans , was last .

everyone on the campus envied us . as i looked around i could see the awe coming from everyone . though , one of them stood out to me . i think it was the axe body spray from two tables over , but i think it was also coming for matt sturniolo sitting on the other side if the cafe with chris and nick . " hey guys , i'll be right back ." everyone was confused why i was excusing myself from such a crowd . but what i really wanted to do was get away from gia .

i walked over to where the sturniolo brothers were sitting and sat down . " hey guys !" matt looked happy to see me . " were you trying to get away from gia ?" i looked at nick . how did he know i was doing that ? " oh , um yes , i was ." he nodded in agreement like he knew why .

as i was listening to nick talk , i noticed that chris was looking back at the table i was sitting at . based off of who was looking over here , i could tell that he was looking at taylor . those two are literally made for each other .

a couple minutes passed before taylor walked over and sat down next to chris . " taylor ? what are you doing over here ?" i already knew the answer . " because chris was telling me to get my ass over here !" said the same thing in my mind . " i did not !" chris said giggling . seriously, those two were born to be with each other .

i looked at my phone to see what time it was . 11:30 . " hey nick , we have track practice today . just a heads up ." nick also pulled out his phone and checked the time . " oh , shit . then me and asiya have to get going ." we didn't really need to , but i think he was trying to see braxton . " ok then . bye asiya !" matt said to me . " bye matt !" i tried to give him a sexy look , and i think it worked .

i was not ready for track practice . i hadn't been in a little bit . thankfully , i had been running every wednesday - friday every morning . besides today obviously .

my track coach said that all distance runners had to do 2 laps around the campus . each side is at least a mile to a mile and a half long . my as well kill me now .

i'm so glad the i'm running with nick , i have someone to run with and talk to . braxton's a sprinter , so i wouldn't be running with him . " i hope .. that braxton .. is doing .. okay ." i tried to speak but since it was blazing hot , it came out as pauses . " he's probably doing ok . he only tuns the 100 , 200 , and the 4 x 4 ." how the hell did he speak without sounding like he was minutes away from dying . whatever . i just want to get done running .

we didn't do anything in this class . the whole time the teacher was talking about his family problems and marriage and other shit .

after what felt like literally hell , the bell finally rang . i grabbed my pencil bag and my notebook and got out of that classroom .

as i was walking out i saw braxton coming out of algebra . " hey ! how was class ?" and could you not , he gave me the dirtiest look ever . " don't ever ask me that question again ." i began to laugh . " okay ! i won't . but , how's you and sturniolo going ?" braxton smiled and began to blush . " oh .. you know . good ." so cute . " when are you going to tell him ?" i was really hoping for a good couple . " idk maybe in a week or so . i don't think i'm ready yet ." that's understandable . i just nodded at him , said goodbye , and walked away .

i sat down next to braxton and taylor , which was a mistake . it's not even funny how many times we got in trouble for talking to each other .

we were almost sent to the headmaster's because of it . " you three ! outside the classroom this instant !" we all walked out of the classroom shameless . " you three have been a distraction to my class for the past 15 minutes !" we were all crying laughing because mr . lang's wig fell off . " what are you three laughing at ! i'm about ready to send you three to the headmaster's !" braxton somehow had the balls to tell him why we were laughing . " um , sir , your hair is kinda , gone ." we all started laughing harder and harder . " my hair what !" he then began to pat his head frantically. his face was practically a tomato full of embarrassment .

after class , we all checked our socials and saw how much of a meme our geography teacher became . only in the matter of 30 minutes . as i was checking everything , matt had texted me . hey , would you like to go to olive garden with me ? was this a date ? what was this ? i obviously replied back . absolutely !! what time so i can get ready . he replied almost instantly . nick told me he'll reply after at least 4 - 6 hours . 6:00 , if thats ok . it was obviously ok , though my wardrobe would disagree .

my closet

i had gone through 34 outfits total . i really didn't know what to wear . do i cover up ? show some skin ? be appealing ? i don't know .

" taylor help me ! i don't know what to wear . i'm having a crisis help !" she came running in quick . " okay ! how about this and .. this !" how does she do that? she picks out an outfit within like 5 seconds ! " oh , that's really nice . thanks so much !" i was about to leave when taylor stopped me . " you be the best woman this man has every seen ! make sure your breath smells good before you swap saliva !" ew . no tongue, thank you very much .

i grabbed my key and phone and told matt said that he was parked out front .

olive garden

i was sitting in the car thinking if this was an actual date . i don't think it is . if it is , well then , i'm very flattered . and yes . yes to what ? i won't say .

i got out with matt and walked up to olive garden . as we were waiting inside he said " well , you look stunning ." i started to naturally blush . " why thank you mister . and you look mighty fine ." he smiled . " thanks ."

soon after , we got seated and ordered their breadsticks and salad . " these are delicious !" he grabbed a breadstick and took a bite . " these are super good ! can you also hand me the salad please ?" i scooped him some salad on a plate and handed it over . " why did you invite me instead of your brothers ? or even taylor ?" i asked . " nick was doing something with braxton and chris was hanging out with taylor so , it was just you ." woah . that's .. something .

ten or so minutes passed by and we finally got our food . matt got the italian tour and i got their signature pasta . it was delicious . after our food was done we got dessert . " okay , should we get dessert ? if we do , i'll pay ." matt looked at me like i didn't need to . " no , we're getting dessert and then i'm paying ." we argued back and forth about who was paying . " so we agree , we both pay half of the bill ?" i nodded and ordered dessert . we got a chocolate fudge cake and shared it .

after paying for the bill , we got up and left . leaving such good memories in there . we got in the car and buckled our seatbelts . i looked at him . he looked at me . we locked eyes . and it just happened . we were both leaning in and we began to kiss . the warmth if his lips electrified through my body . it was so comforting . i absolutely loved it .

laying in bed

god . what a day . before he left i gave him a kiss . but , was it for real ? was this all real ? " hey , asiya , what happened ?" i giggled . " oh nothing ." taylor gave me a dumbfounded look . " well , then why is there a heart next to his name ?" that explanation was saved for the next day . i was too tired to say anything . too happy to say anything .
