In a small village called Saku lived a mother and a daughter...

Once upon a time, there was a young elf boy who fell in love with a girl. But that girl was human.

It was forbidden for the elf clan to have any interaction with the humans.

But those two were too curious. They would talk about home and what each little thing would look like. They would laugh and soon they fell for each other.

But, the boy's father found them and separated them. Little did they know that the girl was 18 years old and pregnant.

Let's just say that they were too curious...

"Mom tell me more!" The 10 year old jumped up and down.

"Nope. You aren't ready for the rest. You don't even know whose story this is from. You must figure it out first. Now come on little one we must brush your hair." The mother sat her down on the old wooden chair.

The girl looked at her self through the mirror.

"Mom... How come you have brown hair and I have white hair? And I have pointy ears... And you don't... I also have blue eyes which you don't have either..." The girl looked at her mother with eyes filled with confusion.

"Oh my beautiful daughter... You got this hair, pointy ears and your eyes from your father... But I know you are mine. We have the same forehead and the same nose. Not everything is the same." The mother poked her daughters nose and smiled.

The girl nodded knowing not to pry so much.

"But mother... I do have to ask... Why am I so different? Nobody likes talking to me... And they are always saying things behind my back... Calling me a half breed and dirty..." The girl looks down at her toes.

"Oh my daughter... Don't pay attention to them. They are just jealous of your beauty." The mother continued to brush the girls hair while trying to hold back her tears.

"Mom... Please don't cry... I already know that the story you tell me each night is about you and dad... Don't cry... Be happy! I know that I have a huge vocabulary and that I'm weird and that we have to hide but I'm fine with it! As long as we are together!" The girl jumped and hugged her mother.

The mother begins to laugh a bit.
"Ok. Ok. I won't cry. And I'm glad I have such a smart little girl. But now you must sit down so I can brush you hair. And remember to brush your teeth. You ate way too many apples today! And oh my it's already midnight." The mother looks at her very cheap almost broken clock.

The girl runs to the bathroom and begins to rinse her teeth.

Once she finishes she hears a scream.

She ran out and saw a man holding a bow at her mother.

"No! Don't hurt my mom!" The girl ran to her mother but it was too late. The arrow pierced her stomach.

The girl hugged her mom.

"Laura... Run... Run as fast as you can... And don't look back... Find your father... His name is Clark... I love you..." The mother places her blood covered hand on her daughters cheek.

Laura was sobbing.
"No... Mom no... Please don't leave me!!!" She began to scream.

The man was about to grab Laura to take her away but her scream deafened him.

Laura grabbed her mothers necklace, the mans sword, cloak, bow and arrow and she ran as fast as she could with tears streaming down her face.

Nine years later...
