-second person (y/n pov)-
The following morning, you woke unbelievably early (which was a rare occurrence for you) as the rain heavily pounded against the window beside your bed, you dreaded the thought of having to play in that weather later on, it almost sent shivers down your spine. The wind continued to roar and shout, you heard loud cracking and snapping coming from the Forbidden Forest which indicated that a few trees had blown over.
In the matter of minutes you woke up, Alicia and Angelina did the same and began to get ready to go down to the Great Hall. There wasn't much chatter between the lot of you as you were too groggily to talk, but every so often Alicia would end up bumping into something in the room, making you and Angelina chuckle a bit. You pulled on your Gryffindor jumper, picked up your Comety Two Ninety broom, and followed Alicia and Angelina out of the dorm.
Once in the hall, you sat beside Harry who had already begun to eat some toast. You poured yourself some porridge with fresh fruits on top to follow his suit.
"Excited for today, Harry?" you said in barely a mumble.
"Oh yeah, can't you just tell by my face?" said Harry, sarcastically.
Gradually, the rest of the team showed up, the twin's hair was as messy as a pig stye and their eyes were bloodshot, you came to the conclusion that Oliver probably stormed into their dormitory and dragged them out of their beds.
Speaking of Oliver, he seemed to be the only one who was up and ready for the match, he had shown up to the hall with many diagrams and charts held underneath his arm.
"It's going to be a tough one," said Oliver, who wasn't eating anything.
"Stop worrying, Oliver." said Alicia soothingly, "We don't mind a bit of rain."
"Alicia's right and you have to eat something, Ollie," you said, pushing a stack of toast towards him. "Wake up, George," you snapped your fingers in front of George's face as his head slowly fell off his hand.
"Yeah Fred, pull yourself together..." said George, drowsily.
.....
But Alicia was wrong, it wasn't just a bit of rain; it was bucketing down. However, the rain never stopped the whole school from turning up anyway, the stands were flooded with scarlett and yellow to support each team, and many of the students were wrapped up in hats and scarves, shielding themselves from the treacherous weather with umbrellas.
You and the rest of the team quickly changed into your scarlet robes and waited for Oliver's common pre-match prep talk, but it never came. He tried to speak several times but nothing came out- unless you count a few strange gurgling noises. Once he lost hope in trying to speak, he motioned for you all to get out and follow him.
The wind was so strong that it almost blew you over as you walked onto the pitch in your pairs, the crowd's screams and shouts were deafening as thunder whipped through your ears, this was the worst weather you had ever played in.
You glanced around the towering tents in which the supporters stood, a large majority of the stadium was plastered with Gryffindor's crimson colours along with a few splotches of gold to present Hufflepuff's supporters. No pressure at all.
You glanced back to the other side of the pitch as the Hufflepuff's came sporting their bright-yellow robes. Both captains met one another in the middle and shook hands; Diggory smiled at Oliver but he merely nodded back, his jaw clenched at the sight of their opponents. You barely heard Madam Hooch say, "Mount your brooms." You pulled your right leg up and swung it over your Comet Two Ninety, you reached for the handle and gripped it roughly. Madam Hooch placed her whistle to her lips and gave it a harsh blow that sounded shrill and distant- you were off.
