Two weeks before the end of term, you woke early to find the grounds suddenly became  dazzling white, snow had finally came. Inside the castle, there was a certain buzz of Christmas floating about in the air. Professor Flitwick helped this buzz along as he had already decorated his classroom head-to-toe in decorations; shimmering lights floated around the ceiling, which to your surprise, was actually just a bunch of festive fairies flying about.

It was about a month since you sent your mother the letter about your dream and she still had not sent one back. Lynch had returned quickly from his journey to her but without a note, you were seriously starting to worry now. Maybe she accidentally threw it out? Nah, not a chance would she never do something like that, especially when it was from you or Oliver.

You and Oliver decided to remain at Hogwarts for Christmas, along with all the Weasley's, Harry and Hermione, of course.

.....

Earlier that week, McGonagall put up a piece of parchment on the common room's notice board indicating that a trip to Hogsmeade would be taking place soon. You took this as a perfect chance to get all of your Christmas gifts collected and bought, you already had a list set up of what you were going to get everyone since about June. Luckily, you had some pocket money left from your summer job to buy the goods.

"So you seriously aren't gonna come to Hogsmeade with me?" you said, frowning at the twins.

"Can't." Fred said, shaking his head, "We've got very important things to do."

"Oh yeah? Like what?" you said, tilting your head to the side. When they said the had 'very important things to do' you knew it only meant one thing, wreaking havoc.

"Confidential business." George said, grinning from ear to ear, "Besides- you've got Lee anyway."

"Oh yeah," you said sarcastically, "If I want to third wheel."

"So what?" George shrugged, "Not that hard I do it everyday." He glimpsed between you and Fred, as he started to smirk devilishly.

You felt your cheeks turn pink. Nothing was remotely going on between you two- apart from the other night- whatever that was about. Neither of you chose to talk about it, completely ignoring the topic after it happened.

"I best be off." you said, puffing your cheeks awkwardly, "Try not to get into too much trouble."

.....

Within about an hour or so, you had racked up about all you would need for presents on Christmas morning. You may have went a bit over-board and spent about half your allowance on the twins and Lee but you shrugged it off, because money is meant to be spent, isn't it?

You decided to take a dander around Hogsmeade when you heard a bit of a commotion coming from around the Shrieking Shack; being your nosy self, of course you had to go and see what was going on. You climbed a short hill leading to the entrance of the building and there you saw a sort-of heated argument going on between Hermione, Ron and Draco Malfoy along with his gimpy group of Slytherin's.

"How dare you talk to me!" Draco spat, glaring at Hermione, "You filthy little mudblood!"

"Malfoy!" you shouted, making your way down the hill. He instantly quietened down, you weren't really sure why he acted like that around you, he was just a weirdo in general you thought. "Speak to her like that again and I swear to Godric-"

Then a snowball hit him in the face, you looked around, puzzled. You glanced over to Ron and Hermione and raised one of your eyebrows in questions, to which they shook their heads instantly to. Draco and his group stared around, looking extremely startled, it reminded you a bit of how he acted on the Hogwarts Express when the Dementor came about; you silently chuckled thinking about what Fred or George would think if they saw him acting like this.
