ALYONA SAT ON the hospital bed in silence. her eyes red from the crying she had done earlier. there were stitches on her forehead from when her head was slammed into the concrete by the police. she had a pounding headache. she could cry again.
she heard the door open but didn't react. "alyona." a stern voice said. there was anger laced in it. she knew who it was but still didn't react. tony pulled a chair up to the bed and sat down. "do you wanna explain why you went after barnes with steve?" tony asked her. she remained silent. she could hear the disappointment in his voice. she never meant to disappoint him but thats all she seems to do these days. "silent treatment real mature alyona." tony said angrily at her. alyona tried to hold back her tears, but one seemed to slip through. slowly it runs down her left cheek. she quickly wipes it away, looking away from her father.
"you know." tony pauses as he stands up. "since you want to be a criminal so bad, you can be treated like one ." her eyes widen. he wouldn't would he? he promised to protect her. was this his sick version of protecting her? "i tried alyona. i really tried. but you went behind my back and did this." the silence feels like being stabbed over and over again. "i'm sorry alyona, but i'm locking you up in the compound. you broke my trust."
alyona stops breathing. the world stops moving. "but you promised...." she mumbles, her voice breaking. she can't hear anything. alyona sees her father's mouth moving, but she doesn't quite hear what he says. she doesn't hear tony leave the room. she doesn't hear cops coming in the room.
she doesn't feel them drag her off the bed and handcuff her. she doesn't feel when they put a device around her neck to stop her from using her powers. alyona doesn't feel anything. her dad. the man thats supposed to care and nature her. the man who she looked up to. her dad. gave her up like she was nothing.
