This should be it right? My finger were almost at the red mark on the map, showing that it should be just before me.
It's been a day, I set up a small fire in a cave, where I also slept through the night. Finally I should have made it to the goal, or at least I think?
In front of me there is a small cave, a stone is blocking the entrance, almost looking like a door of some kind. "Let's see now" I walked up to the stone, pushing my palms agains the dirt as I tried to push it forward.
No luck with that.
I curled my fingers on the side of the block, trying to roll it sideways.
No luck with that either.
Now I'm certain that the book must be in there, why else would it be so obvious that something is trying to keep you away from getting inside. Walking closer I ran my fingers across the dirt, I narrow my eyes as I notice a few branches and leaves covering a small part of it. I tucked the leafs away revealing small cracks splitting in different directions, but it all meets in the middle.
Frowning, I looked down on the map where the mark is showing. Looking closely you could see something is hiding, a kind of text underneath. Realizing what I need to do. I bring out my lighter I brought with me, pushing down the button making the fire go on.
I place the paper just above the lighter, right where the mark is. Since the small fire is lighting up what's underneath, I realize it's not a text, it's a pattern. It's a circle going around like a snail shell. Looking up at the stone, I see a similar circle.
I trace my finger, starting in the middle. I follow the circle with my fingertips, my eyes widen at the sudden purple fire start lighting up just like the shell. Suddenly the big stoneblock rolled to the side revealing almost like an inbuilt tree house.
A large tree in the center, the big branches stretching out wide above me, covering the ceiling and stone walls. Small flowering chandeliers hanging in a circle and just below it there is a shopped off tree, only the trees trunk is left.
And just right there is the book placed open and welcoming, or hopefully it is. Just then I got a text from Scott
Scott❤️
Don't forget to call me if anything happens, anything could go wrong when you're there alone😉Me:
Don't worry, but I got exciting news😄... I actually have gotten ahold of the book, or not really because you interrupted me🙄 let me face time and show you, it's really cool in hereJust as I were about to press the call to face time he send me a respond.
Scott❤️
Don't call me right now sweetie, I'm sorry but I'm busy and have guests over at the moment so it's better if we would be texting for now😘Umm alright..
I send him a quick understanding text but took a picture of the cave and send it to him. His only respond was the emoji with two heart eyes and a happy mouth.Putting my phone down in my pocket I made my way to the book, it was wide open revealing how dusty and old it is, but it's pages is...empty? No type of text or any sign of another world. Gently I wrap my finger around it but holding them there, watching if there is any traps. No sign, as I picked the book up with ease, squeezing my eyes shut ready for something to happen.
The cave was utterly silent, only the small wind blowing inside making the leafs rustle, then I start laughing..laughing at how easy this mission was but it was not over yet. I have to figure out how to get to the world on the other side.
My laughter died down in a second, my face got pale as a ghost and my body froze.
The click and the feel of metal pressed agains the back of my head made my blood run cold.
