theo's pov during the slytherin hangout from last chapter
I'm sitting alone on the couch in the living room of the Malfoys' manor while everyone else is chatting right in front of me. We always hang out at Malfoy's place cause Riddle and I are already living here. My mother died when I was younger and so did Mattheo's and after the war we both lost our fathers. Mattheo never really had a father but now it was official so he was finally free. Narcissa, Draco's mother was nice enough to let us stay with her and Draco.
Draco and I typically get along so well, we're practically brothers at this point, but yesterday got out of hand. I never meant for us to actually fight over such a stupid thing. I just can't stand when Draco starts annoying me about girls and he hates when I bring up Daphne. Everyone knows he's in love with her except for Daph and him apparently.
As for me and girls, it's complicated. Normally the boys will tease me about the girls at school and I get annoyed but never actually angry. I'm known around school as a player and the guys love it. The thing is, it's not even true, sure I've hooked up with a couple girls without ever being in a relation but it's nothing crazy. It's just rumours and my friends know yet they love acting like I'm this big fuckboy.
But this time it's different, I don't even know this Millie girl and the guys are already on my back about her. When I heard Draco talking about her like he does with all the girls at school I got upset and defensive. I've never met her but I know she's not like any other girls and I won't let Malfoy or any guy treat her like that.
I felt Pansy sit besides me and I came back to reality.
"what's up? why you sitting alone?" she asked me.
Pansy is truly my best friend, she's the only I can be honest with without later regretting it. It also helps that she's gay cause then there's no confusion about our relationship.
"I just feel stupid about fighting with Malfoy yesterday" I said while throwing my head back out of exhaustion.
"what even happen between you two?" she asked while adjusting herself on the couch so she could face me.
"I don't know. I guess he got mad cause I suggested that he liked Daphne" I said with a smile cause of how stupid this all was.
"you gotta stop bringing that shit up nott. y'know it always gets him mad." she said while looking at me with a disappointed look.
"I know but it's a little funny seeing him get so angry over nothing." I turned to her with a grin on my face.
"fine it kinda is but still that doesn't tell me why you're so mad"
I threw my head back again at her words. I really didn't want to admit this to anyone.
"I don't know. I just asked if them if they knew who Daphne was hanging out with since you didn't know. Then we figured out it was that new girl Millie." I took a pause to figure out what to say next.
"And they... you know how the guys are... They started talking about how hot she is and how she already has have a bunch of guys all over her."
I took a pause and Pansy asked with a confused look "and that's why you got mad?"
"not really. I mean they always say stupid shit like that. But then Draco started saying he was going to ask daph about her since I wouldn't do it and cause she's really hot" I said and rolled my eyes.
"so you were jealous?" Pansy asked with a smirk.
"what? no that's not it. it was just gross of him to do." I lied trying not to make it to obvious.
"alright... If you say so." she said teasingly.
"shut up pants. honestly it was a stupid argument."
"then go apologize" Pansy proposed.
"are you crazy? that's never happening" I scoffed.
"you men are so stupid." she rolled her eyes
We stayed there in silence sitting next to each for a while until Malfoy came up to me which made Pansy quietly leave. I was honestly surprised he did that. I just figured we wouldn't talk until we both forgot about everything, but I guess Draco was feeling mature today.
"what the fuck is going on mate?" he asked sitting back into the couch.
"I don't know man. you tell me." he sighed at my words.
"look I'm sorry if I said anything outta place, but you gotta stop with this whole Daphne thing. you guys always bringing it up won't help me get the damn girl." he sais seriously.
"so you do want to get with her then?" I asked looking at him with a surprised look.
"of course I do mate. have you seen her?" he said smiling to himself.
"I fucking knew it." I said proudly.
"also cause she's great y'know, not just cause she looks good." he added quickly.
"Damn... so you like actually fancy her?" I asked him seriously.
"I mean yea... I have for years now."
"wow. that's big." I said looking at him.
"it is. so don't you dare fucking tell anyone." he looked at me with his typical death glare.
"I won't I won't" I promised him.
Luckily we didn't get to talking about my outburst from yesterday as Daphne came to sit beside Draco.
"Everything good here boys?" she asked while scooting closer to Malfoy.
I looked at Draco with a teasing smile to which he responded yet again with his death glare. I let out a quick chuckle and answered Daphne.
"everything is great" I smiled.
"yup totally fine." Draco added.
