Chapter 3: Benny Over (SHORT CHAPTER)

It was now 8:00 at night and Kayla was in her room reading on her bed after another day at the Sandlot when she hears a tap on her window. She thought it was a bird so she left it alone.

Then another tap was heard but this time it was louder so she took off her headphones got up and went to the window when a pair of hands grabbed her window frame and she screamed quietly in fright. She noticed that the hands belonged to none other than Benny so she grabbed his hands and pulled him into her room.

"You know there's a door, right?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I know, but where's the fun in that?" Benny replied with a smirk as he laid on top of her his hands on either side of her head.

Kayla could feel her heart race as Benny hovered over her his gaze locked with hers. She could feel the warmth of his body, his closeness making her breath hinch in her throat.

"You're an idiot." She said finally with a smile and a roll of her eyes.

He didn't notice that he was staring at her until she spoke.

"Something on my face, Rodriguez?" She teased trying to get up but his hand stopped her and held her fermly in place.

"N-no I-I was just. . ." He stammered his face turning red.

"Relax, I was kidding."

"O-okay. You coming to play ball tomorrow?"

"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I?" She asks with a shrug before gasping in shock as his lips crashed onto hers.

Kayla's heart raced as Benny's touch sent shivers down her spine. They broke apart and Kayla's breath became in short gasps as her cheeks flushed with what just happened.

"I'll pick you up at 9:00, Hermosa" Benny  said with a smile as he got off her.

"See you tomorrow, Mi Amor." She responded before opening her window so he could climb out.

Benny closes her window and once he's on the ground he touches his lips where she kissed him and walks back to his house with a smile and a blush on his face.
