The next day at the Sandlot. The gang had just started a new game, with Ham up to bat. Benny thought it was a bad idea to let him bat but Kayla nsisted they should let him have a turn.

"Hamilton 'the babe' porter." He said swinging his bat getting into his stance.

"Long ball' porter." He continued. "Come on DeNunez." Ham says pointing towards the outfield like The Great Bambino did in the 1932 World Series, everyone died laughing, except Benny. He smiled when he heard Kayla laughing, it was like music to his ears.

"Yeah, ok. Yes. I see it" Benny encourages with a nod as he stood behind him in the umpires uniform.

Ham nods his head in confidence. Kenny then pitches the ball, but Ham swings to late and misses causing Benny to catch the ball.

"Whoa!" Benny exclames making fun of Ham little bit. Ham then gets mad. And Kayla giggles.

"You call that pitchen!?" Ham exclames in frustration.

"This is baseball, NOT Tennis! Gimme somethin to hit!" He yells furious.

"Alright ham! This is my heater! I dare you to hit it! Kenny yells.

"You'll be sorry" Ham mumbles to himself.

"You want the heater? I'll give it to ya." Kenny mumbles.

"Come on DeNunez!" Kayla encouraged.

"Give him a basketball! Maybe then he'll hit it." Squints yells from behind second.

Kayla: Maybe give him a tennis racket! She said making everyone laugh.

Kenny pitches it and Ham hits it straight into something made of glass making them all hear something shatter.

"Yeah! That's how you do it!" Ham yelled.

"Ham, you idiot! Now we can't play no more!" Banny yells frustrated with the red head.

"Great goin Ham!" Kayla also yells. Everyone started to call Ham names and started to hit him with their gloves as he passed.

"Hit me with the heater, low and outside just like I like it!" Ham yelled again.

"1932 called world shot series by the babe!" Ham went on, clearly not embarrassed anymore.

Scotty just stood there confused as to why they were so upset.

Couldn't they just go over the fence and get it? He thought. So, with that he started to climb the fence.

"Guys, I'll get it!" He yells almost at the top of the green fence.

"No!" Everyone screams simultaneously. They then start to run towards smalls and pried him off the fence.

"Holly crap. You could've been killed." Squints exclames painting.

"Killed man, geez!" Bertram exclames.

"Yeah-Yeah what'ra ya doing?" Yeah-Yeah asks as he looked at him in disbalife.

"Well you guys were leaving so I thought I'd hop the fence. . . " Smalls started but he was cut off by Squints.

"If you were thinkin, you wouldn't have thought that." Squints says.

"You can't go back there." Benny added.

"Then how do we get the ball back?" Smalls asks.

"We don't" Timmy says.

"We don't." Tommy repeated.

"It's history" Timmy says.

"It's history" Tommy repeats again.

"Kiss it goodbye" Timmy says.

"Kiss it go--"

"Shut up, Tommy" Timmy and Kayla say simultaneously.

"It's gone man. Gone" Bertram says sadly.

"Games over, man. We'll gust get other ball tomorrow." Kayla says shrugging as if it was nothing.

"Why not?" Smalls asks.

Everyone just looked at each other and then back at smalls.

"The Beast" They say simultaneously.

"What's that?" Smalls asks not having a clue on what they were talking about.

"Smalls, listen to me. Go to that fence real slow. . . And be quiet." Benny instructs smalls while coming up behind Kayla and putting his arms around her waist and pulling her close to him, she playfully rolles her eyes at his overprotectiveness.

"But I-I think-- Smalls started.

"No, no, no. No, no. Just go and peak through the hole." Benny says.

"But I- but I, somethings over there. What's back there?" Smalls asks.

"It's ok, just go." Benny says holding onto Kayla tighter.

"Go Smalls" The team says simultaneously. He gives up fighting and goes to peaks through the hole. After a few seconds he jumps back on fright with fear in his eyes.

"Something got the ball." He says. "What was that thing?" Sorry asks. They all look at each other and then back at smalls one more time.

"CAMP OUT!!"

------------------------------

Kayla now at her house thanks to Benny walking her home but he'd be coming back in 10 minutes cause he needed to grab a few things for himself for the camp out.

Kayla was dressed in black and white baggy pants a black tank top, and her hair was in a ponytail.

Suddenly the door bell rang.

Kalya: Hey, Benny. She said to the Latino boy who was leaning on the door frame.

Benny: You ready? He asked with a smile.

Kayla: Yep.

Benny now being able to see what she was wearing his cheeks suddenly glowed a slight red from what he saw. She had a black tink top that showed her muscles black and white baggy pants that completed her look.

Benny: G--great. Let's go. He stammered his cheeks bright red.

Kalya: R--right. She responds with a blush, taking his hand and began to walk towards the tree house.

Smalls got there a little while after Benny and Kayla did but when he did arrived he announced that him mom made him do the dishes.

"Hey, guys! Sorry I'm late. My mom made me put on a jacket then she made me do the dishes." Scott says as he takes off his jacket.

"Awe, your poor lil mommy made you do the big bad dishes!" Bertram teases.

"Oh, shut up, Bertram." Kayla scolds. He just cowers down.
