Lucky for the Dixon's, we only live an 1 hour away from cousins unlike Belly. Currently Colbi and I are blasting Nicki Minaji when my mom yanks the volume from 30 to 10, "Hey! What the hell was that for?" Colbi raised his tone in his 14 year old squeaky voice, "Well not like you two haven't noticed but we are in a neighborhood now," She said very calmly. I turned to look at the driver side, "So mom are you excited to see Sussanah and Laurel?" I asked her. "What kind of question is that of course I am!" She looked onto the road as we are almost there.

"Are you excited to see Conraddd!!" Colbi yelled through the car. I leaned my body to his seat and started smacking him in which he smacked me back, "Shut your mouth you little shit," I yelled, "Okay. Big shit" We continued hitting each other until mom yanked my arm throwing me back to my seat. "Both of you stop."

We pulled into the driveway to see the youngest Fisher brother waiting at the steps. I jumped out of the car "Jere!" I yelled in excitement as he picked me up into a big hug "Cass! You look as beautiful as ever," He smiled, dropping me to the ground, "Why thank you kind sir. Where's your brother if I do ask?" I said with a huge smile hung on my face. Jere pointed his finger to the house "Grumpy's in the kitchen," He then turned around bringing my mom into an embrace. I grabbed my bag and headed to the inside.

I saw Susannah at the front door and I gave her a hug, "Oh my gorgeous girl," She said and walked over to my mom.

I tore the door open to see a tired looking Conrad staring at me from the kitchen. I threw my arms open and yelled "Honey I'm home," and shuffled my way over to him. His face had his usual smirk on it, I brought him into a hug. He put his head onto mine and hung his arms around my waist. "How are ya Cassie," He said in my ear. "Never been better," I smiled up to him, "I'm gonna put my stuff upstairs," I got my bag and walked upstairs. My room is right in between Conrads and Colbi's, I threw my bag into the closet and laid on my floral pink bed.

"Hey sexy!" I look up to the entrance of my room but before I can fully see them,a wet person jumps on top of me. "Belly Conklin you officially scared the shit out of me," I said laughing with her as we now just laid on my bed talking about everything that happened all year.

An hour later we emerged from the room full of giggles and stopped when we bumped into a very grumpy Conrad, "Move." he insisted. "What crawled up your ass," Connie turned back around to face me, "Sorry, dinner in 15."

Belly and I continued to walk downstairs and over to the pool, "You know it's always confused me on how Conrad is so nice to you," She spoke as we looked into the bright blue pool as the sun was setting. "What do you mean Belly, he's been nice to everyone. This year he's just grumpier that's all" She faced towards me and grabbed my hand, "I know, it's just he is extremely nice to you. He will be so rude but the moment that he realizes it's you he immediately apologizes." I look back at her, "I guess-" She got cut off by Susannah calling them in for dinner.

"You quit football?" Cassie questioned Conrad. He glanced at her with an annoyed face just to be met with her face of concern. Cassie knew that it had to be something triggered by his father because Conrad loved and prioritized football. When they were younger, he would teach Cassie how to play football on the beach so that he could combine his two favorite things to do in one. Play football and spend time with Cassie, everyone knew it besides Cassie and Belly. "Yeah. Lost my passion for it I guess." He shrugged with his answer, "Bullshit." She whispered so softly that only Conrad could hear. "I'll tell you about it later." He replied in the same tone. This interaction didn't go unnoticed by Belly, who was showered in jealousy.

Every year the younger kids stay with the moms and watch movies on the first night back, Cassie turning 17 made her a part of the older kids which meant she could now go to the annual bonfire with Jere, Connie, and Steven. However, it also meant that Belly and Colbi would be the only two with the moms and Belly hated that. She liked having Cassie around because they would mess with Colbi and talk about boys, it isn't the same without her there. Belly watched as all four of them got into the car and drove off.

"Hey, mom."

"Yes, sweetie," Laurel said grabbing her daughter's arm

"I don't feel too well. I think I'm just going to go to bed." She smiled at her mom, "Is this about Cassie not being here?" Laurel asked. Yes. The answer to the question was yes, she wanted to be with the others. "No." She lied.

"Well in that case...I'm going to my room. Love ya," Colbi said as he grabbed a bunch of junk food and ran it upstairs.

Meanwhile...

"Pass it," Cassie said to Conrad from the front seat, referring to the joint in his hand. She took a drag and blew it out the window passing it back and forth between her and Conrad. "Okay, quite it you two. The car is going to smell like weed," Jere yelled. "No, it won't idiot. I'm blowing it out the window." Cassie blew a snarky remark at the driver, "Listen to the lady." Conrad agreed.

When they got to the bonfire Conrad handed Cassie about three pre-rolls, which she gladly accepted and shoved them into her bra, "Thank you, Connie," She spit out in a baby voice and kissed his cheek.
