Teuf knew having raser back would be a rough start but he was willing to work through it he just needed to have patience and not only patience but extra patience for Lyric since she a full-fledged demon now and she's going to have to learn to control it. Teuf walked into his room and grabbed his robe from the closet and headed for the bathroom thinking a hot shower could relax him he felt like he hadn't slept or had a moment to himself in ages conjuring a glass of tea he put the tea cup down and went to start the shower and turned the water to the hottest he could stand it. Letting the water fall on him he was alone with his thoughts and his thoughts alone 'When will it become easier? When will we get to a new normal?' He asked himself. Feeling guilty for snapping at his brother like he did Raser stood at the window looking out into the night sky it's so different than the land of the living the sky here in the underworld is red during the day on some parts and at night it's crimson still beautiful though. Feeling exhausted, he settled himself into bed, hoping to find some peace in sleep. Stepping out of the shower Teuf wrapped himself in his robe and stepped out of his bathroom making his way to the kitchen to make another cup of tea the normal way before he reached the kitchen he stopped and looked at the stairs "I should probably check on her" Teuf said to his self making his way up the stairs to her room and opening her door to peak inside to see her sleeping with her back turned to him. Curious he walked over to her to check and see if she was wearing her crescent moon necklace and when he saw she was wearing it Teuf waved his hand and chanted a protection spell quietly to himself "Ab omni malo defendat" the neck started glowing and began to hum Lyric started to stir before she could open her eyes Teuf waved his hand once more and whispered "back to sleep" she stopped moving and fell back into a deep slumber. sneaker out Teuf walked down the stairs and into the kitchen and started to make a pot of tea it was the most normal he had felt in so long just the simplicity of brewing tea in the middle of the night in a robe with messy hair made Teuf feel happy and normal pouring a cup Teuf walked back into his bedroom and got in bed conjuring a newspaper he began to sip his tea and read feeling relaxed he felt like something was missing "ah yes it's too quiet" he said out loud and with a wave of his finger thunder rolled in the distance and rain began to fall "that's better" Teuf smiled. the next morning came and Teuf didn't realize he had fallen asleep he awoke to the smell of bacon being cooked and music being played in the kitchen he sat up and rubbed his eyes and got out of bed realizing he was still in his robe he snapped his fingers and changed into a black suit with a white shirt and a navy blue tie and styled hair he walked out of his room and down the hall and noticed the music was soft dark academia and the coffee pot beeping "good morning" Teuf called as he walked down the hallway "good morning Teuful" Amari sang from the kitchen. turning the corner Teuf saw that it was Amari doing all the cooking "I didn't realize that it was you that was cooking" Teuf said going to the coffee pot and taking a cup and filling it with fresh coffee "yes I wanted to make sure you all had a well-balanced meal and I wanted to see how things were going" Amari said as he motioned towards the dining room "they haven't said a word to each other all morning" Amari whispered turning off the stove and began to dish up food onto plates "They will eventually just give it time" Teuf said taking a plate from Amari and heading towards the dining room door "good morning everyone" Teuf announced to Raser and Lyric "morning" they both said in unison. Lyric was already dressed for the day she wore a black tank top with a charcoal-colored cardigan that went past her knee and black distressed skinny jeans paired with black boots with a small heel and her hair looked black with a blue streak down the side straightened it fell just passed her shoulders "did you change your hair?" Teuf questioned Lyric "I did I figured it's cheaper and less damage," she said while smiling looking proud of herself "So you're wasting good magic on your hair when you could be out using it to train or do your job?" Raser chimed in sounding annoyed Teuf studied raser as he looked Lyric dead in the face Lyric looked shocked for a second but then regained her confidence and turned it into annoyance "Well you see Raser that's been kinda hard to do since you know I was your prisoner and running from you and then chasing you and looking for you so we could all end this game so excuse me if I just wanna make myself happy and feel pretty after the hell I have been through" Lyric said as if she was glaring into his soul right back Raser sat back in his black T-shirt and black pants and black boots he wasn't wearing his hat he must have started feeling at home. "Lyric-" Teuf began to say but was interrupted by her getting up and grabbing her coffee cup "I'm gonna go see allos" she announced while taking one last sip of her coffee "but I made breakfast!" Amari said while bringing out freshly baked blueberry muffins" Lyric grabbed one and thanked Amari "Thank you!" She smiled then disappeared in a flash of purple flames "Well I guess I deserved that" Raser said looking at his plate of food "Maybe we all should watch how we talk to each other after all we are all adjusting to living together" Teuf suggested "I'm sorry Teufel it's a big adjustment" Raser said "it's ok we will get this figured out and it is gonna be great we will all get along" Teuf encouraged. Lyric flickered to allos home in heaven "Well hey Beautiful how are you?" Allos greeted Lyric with a hug "I'm ok how are you?" She asked taking a seat next to him "I've been really good just taking care of business" he said pulling a cigarette out of the air and offering it to Lyric "How did you know?" She asked happily taking it and lighting it by snapping her fingers making a small flame "I was watching" he said lighting his cigarette "Was I a bit harsh?" She asked after taking a puff of her cigarette and inhaling deeply "Yes and no you both were out of line but it was needed" allos said as a matter of fact "I just wish this was easy" she said sighing "Well I mean you're also just transitioning into a full demon so it's like puberty you're gonna have those hormonal outbursts cause you are a demon and demons are kinda mean" Allos joked Lyric made a silly face then blew a cloud of smoke into allos face "I feel like you're my voice of reason now" she said smiling "I'm always here" Allos said "an archangel and a soul collector best friends? We are quite the unique duo" Lyric went on to say "I think we are the best" he said "I'm gonna go out and start collecting these souls I guess thanks for talking to me" Lyric said putting the cigarette out and standing up "be careful" he said as she flickered away in purple flames. flipping through her book of souls Lyric noticed names were disappearing "What the fuck" she said out loud feeling frustrated she flickered home to find Teuf so she could tell him what was happening she came home to the brothers both sitting at the table looking like they wanna talk "Hey Lyric how was your day?" Raser asked sounding the most cheerful he's ever sounded puzzled Lyric looked at him "Fine just weird" she responded sitting next to teuf "more names in my book are disappearing" she said to him "We will address that soon I promise but first I know this is an adjustment but this is gonna be great I have both of my most important here and I want all of us to get along" Teuf said like he was giving a speech "I think we could get along really well Lyric" Raser said smiling and holding out his hand to shake hers "I think so too" she said flatly taking his hand thunder boomed in the distance and the rain began to pour "Tonight we will talk over dinner and get to a new normal" Teuf said happily "great I just wanna take a nap first I am beat" she said yawning "sounds good get some rest and we will have dinner ready for you when you wake up" Teuf said giving Lyric a smile she smiled back and headed upstairs crawling into bed she took her necklace off to get comfy something big and dark jumped out of her closet and tackled her to the ground covering her mouth and disappearing with her before she could scream.
