Hey! I'll come pick you up in about 15 minutes.

Okay, great. See you soon.
15 minutes later, just as he promised, Jack was here to pick me up. In that time, I changed into something more comfortable but suitable for dinner.
"Hey Isabelle, are you ready?" Jack asked, wearing a completely different outfit as well.
"Yup!" I say whilst walking out the door and locking it behind me.
"So, where are we headed to?" I asked. I was currently sitting in the passenger seat of his, might I say, very clean car.
"The fanciest place in town," he pauses for a couple seconds, "Carl's Jr." I laugh at his obvious joke and he lets out a chuckle. While we're driving Jack notices the silence and turns on a random radio station. Fortunately it was playing a Taylor Swift song.
"Oh my god, I love Taylor!" I say, turning up the radio a little bit.
"Really? I'm not a swiftie, but I'm getting there. What's this song called?" Jack asks.
"Better Than Revenge from her Speak Now album, which is my favorite." I answer, humming to the tune
"Ah, I see." he says while pulling into the parking lot.
After ordering our food we just chat and talk about silly fan encounters and the cast of Scream 6.
"Thank you dropping me off," I say to Jack, who's still standing at the doorway.
"Of course, I had a great time!" he says before I close the door.
I lay on my bed and scroll through TikTok before I get a text from Jenna.

No, we just had dinner.
