"I am gonna miss you," Becca's father, Ryan Armstrong, hugged his daughter in the airport.
Becca gave his father a light tap on his back, smiling back at him a bit forced. "Me too," she said, gritting her teeth.
Her father smiled and ruffled Becca's hair, "Oh yeah, here," he searched for something inside his pocket pants then pulled the things out. "Your soon to be apartment key. Hope you like it," he said.
Becca took the key, "I told you I want to search it by myself, Dad!" she paused, looking pissed. "What if I don't like-"
"I saw the photos and it looks great," he smiled. "Just check it out today with Richie or your mom, if you don't trust me," he said.
Becca sighed in defeat, "I will do it myself," she said. "I am an adult already," she continued.
Becca's father laughed, "Alright, alright. I know you are, no need to be so pissed, Rebecca" he said and kissed her forehead. "I must go now, take care baby," he said while he heard the last announcement.
"Safe flight," Becca said while nodding her head. Or a bad flight? I don't care anymore, Becca thought. As she saw her father had come into the gate, she looked at the key inside her palm. "Don't disappoint me, Okay?" she said to the key and turned her heels, heading to the exit sign.

"Please put it there.. Yeah there, a little bit to the side. Yup! There you go!" Becca instructed the house moving service officer to put her brand new furniture in the empty apartment.
Today was really a big day for Becca. It was definitely her first time to move out from her family's house. Since her mother passed away three years ago because of a car accident, many aspects in her life have changed. Not only had her mother gone forever, her father also had changed. He became someone she did not know. He liked to flirt with different women, even married and divorced some of them when he felt bored. However, this was his first time staying in a relationship quite long with one and only woman, Anna.
Anna was Becca's father's secretary at his company. Of all his acquaintances, Becca could not deny that Anna was the better option than any of them. Even though she may look as the perfect figure for her father, Becca had always got trust issues that Anna only wanted to marry her father for his money, not because of love. That was why Becca did not open her heart for the woman and chose to stay as far as she could from her.
"Should we take down the painting, Ma'am?" the officer asked Becca, who was standing in the middle of the bedroom, fascinated by the pulchritudinous painting. If Becca was not mistaken, the previous owner had told her that the apartment was already empty. Maybe they left it here as a bonus? Becca thought while moving to another room.
"Keep it there, please," she said to the officers as she went off. The officers then took their hands off of the painting, nodding their head off, and moved on to the next piece of furniture instead. Even though the previous owner said that the apartment had not been occupied for about three years, the painting still looked good, which made Becca change her mind not to take it down.
An hour later, the officers had finished their jobs moving the furniture into Becca's apartment. Becca bowed down her body as a gratitude for the help that had given her the whole day when the officers left her alone in the apartment.
"Finally~!" Becca said as she threw her body to her queen size bed, after locking down the front door.
As she rolled her body on the bed, her eyes fell to the painting above the headboard. If she was really a real woman, she might look pretty, Becca thought inside her mind, admiring the painting in front of her. The painting consisted of a black and white picture of a woman touching her under chin with her index finger with her head a little bit lifted. Her side view, her gaze, and her jaw was so strong that made Becca forget the reality for a while.
As she was about to move her gaze into the clock above the painting, the woman's eyes were opening slightly, making Becca jump with shock.
"Eh?!!" Becca shrieked, standing up from the bed immediately. She rubbed her eyes twice to make sure what she saw recently was real. When she opened her eyes again and looked at the painting, the eyes were closing as it were, making Becca sighed in relief. "Maybe I am just tired.." she said confidently, trying her best not to be scared by the recent occurrence.

It was 23.00 when the sleep finally took Becca's consciousness. She laid on her bed alone with her front body facing the ceiling. Her soft murmur combined with the tick of the clock on the wall, creating the song of the quite night.
Without Becca knowing, a black smoke suddenly billowed the painting. Eventually, the smoke occupied the room, making the white painted wall turn black. The lamp on the ceiling also turned on and off endlessly, as the smoke formed into a figure of a woman with a black suit. When the smoke had perfectly changed form, the smoke then vanished into thin air, replaced by a woman standing near Becca, who was soundly sleeping.
The black smoke woman then smiled warmly at Becca, "Welcome home," she said softly.
