"HH-Help! Security! Help!" Becca was sitting on the corner of her bedroom with knees kissed her chest, her head down to the floor, eyes tightly shut.
"Good night, Ms. Rebecca. How may I help you?" The receptionist on the other side of the line answering Becca's call with such a calm voice compared to Becca's.
"P-Please come here.. i-i-immediately! There's someone in my room! Please, please come, ASAP!" Becca cried out.
"Alright Ms, we will inform our security officer to go to your unit shortly. Please inform us the update if there is any," With that, the receptionist hang up the call, much to Becca's disliking.
"How many times should I tell you that there's no use of calling them out," Freen said while sitting on the bed. "I was already here from the day you moved in," she continued.
"S-shut up! Say no more, you bastard!" Becca yelled, still did not want to see the person in front of her.
Freen sighed, massaging her temple. Well I guess if I were you, I would not believe this kind of thing happens to me too, Freen said to herself. What she currently experiencing was beyond the human mind to comprehend and she did realized that so she couldn't blame the girl from the first place.
The silence was getting loud and louder as the time went by. The minutes felt like hours, that was what Becca realizing. As she was getting more and more impatient, the sound of doorbell she wished for from minutes earlier finally rang. Becca then rushed to open her apartment door, quitely followed by Freen.
"Ms. Rebecca, how can we help you?" One of the apartment security officers said. They were four people who came to the rescue, completely guarded.
"This woman here appeared out of nowhere in my room!" Becca pointed her finger out to Freen direction, which was behind her. The security officers' eyes followed Becca's finger. They were frowning.
"Where was she again, Ms?" Another security officer asked Becca.
"Here! She's right behind me, there!" Becca pointed her finger again to Freen's direction. "She's standing right there" Becca convinced them again. However, when she took a look for the second time, Freen was nowhere to be seen.
Seeing Becca's worried face even concerning, the security officers exchanged their look to each other, as if doing a telepathy to one another. They then nodded their heads in unison when their inner talking was ended. "Do you mind if we check your unit thoroughly, Ms?" One of the security officer said.
"Yes, please!" Becca said while stepping aside to let the officers coming into her unit. While she was finally feeling a little bit calmer of the arriving of the officer, she unlocked her phone to call her father. She knew that she had to go out from this apartment tonight, as soon as possible.
When she was about to press the call button, the four officers had gone back to the living room. It looked like they have done checking all the area inside Becca's unit. "We have done our checking and we are confident that no one is inside your unit, Ms" one of them report to Becca.
"That's nonsense," Becca shook her head. "She is definitely there, right behind you, officers! Why don't you take her out my unit please?!" Becca's began furious.
When one of the officers walked to where Freen was standing, Becca could not believe what she had seen; The officer walked through Freen's body as if she was not there in the first place. Freen who was standing then gave her an "I told you so" look. Becca then dropped her phone to the floor when her realization came into her mind:
"I can see ghost?"
"Since we could not find anybody in this room, please excuse us. Have a good night, Ms. Rebecca" The officers said and bowed their head down and helped closed the front door. Becca on the other hand did not give them any response due to her shocking experience.
"Don't be that shock, Rebecca. I am not fully a ghost or whatever you thought inside your head" Freen finally opened her mouth again after a long silence. She looked sympathic towards Becca who was now slid down to the floor, still in her disbelief.
Feeling confuse with how to make the situation better, Freen walked up to Becca and kneeling. "I know it might be hard for you to process the thing that currently happening in front of your eyes, but, I can assure you that you're not crazy. Well, I guess sorry for my sudden arrival. Should have given you more time before I welcome you like this," Freen smiled awkwardly and vanished into thin air.
"What the hell is happening?" Becca had finally regain her composure.
