Sitting at the kitchen table, Felix felt much more comfortable. Despite the fact he's only lived here for a few days, it was already home. The scent of the brownies in the oven helped calm his nerves.

Jisung sat across the table from him, clearly wanting to start the conversation but not knowing what to say. He tapped on the table, fingers moving frantically, as if trying to get away. Felix had never seen him like this around a friend. The investigator jumped from his seat, his timer going off two seconds after. "I'll get the brownies" he said. When he came back, he was carrying both the tray of brownies and his 'stress box'. It contained everything he needed for times like this. When he was particularly nervous about something, he took something out to play with. The more complicated the toy, the higher his stress levels were. After setting the tray on the table, he reached into his box and pulled out a plastic tub of loom bands.

Relief flooded over Felix. He was only on the loom band stage.

The Jisung reached in again, pulling out the beads for the loom bands.

Felix's smile dropped a bit. The beads were only for occasions of the worst kind.

Then Jisung took out a pair of knitting needles.

Now Felix was just confused. "What are you doing with those?" He questioned.

The officer looked up, startled. "I'm going to make a loom band chain long enough to knit with" he replied.

"Oh shit" whispered the blond. It wasn't loud enough for Jisung to register. But knitting needles? The last time Lix saw those, Jisung's grandparents had perished in a horrific fire.

Jisung began to work with the loom bands. The little pieces of elastic moved over his fingers in a rhythmic, almost beautiful pattern.

"So" said Felix, making an attempt breaking the ice. But it was daunting. You shouldn't have to try so hard to break the ice if it was covering a lake that  had thawed years ago.

"So" Jisung replied. His hands began working faster, a sure sign of increasing anxiety. The silence seemed to weigh down on them.

Someone rang the doorbell. "I'll get it" said Felix, nearly jumping out of his seat. "No" Jisung countered. "The apartment is under my name so they're probably here for me"

The blond boy saw some sense in this so he sat back down. They sat there for thirty second, once again lapsing into silence. Felix stared at Jisung, who was avoiding eye contact, completely engrossed in his work.

"So, do you want me to get the door or...?"

"Oh! Sorry" Jisung was just getting out of his seat when someone came barging into the room. He wore a frantic expression on his face. "Officer Han sir!" He said, in a voice so loud Felix had to cover his ears.  "There's a situation at a nearby cafe"

"I'm an investigator" the look on Jisungs face was a mixture of relief and confusion. "I don't deal with this stuff. I investigate. Investigator. The clue is literally in the name"

Felix jumped in "Well actually, the word 'investigate' isn't in the word 'investigator'. There's an 'e' missing"

"Which brings me to my next point." Jisung retorted. "Investigators look for missing people. Whether they've run away, been kidnapped OR MURDERED IN MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES INVOLVING STRANGE CLUES SUCH AS RIDICULOUSLY ACCURATE SKETCHES OF THE VICTIMS MAGICALLY APPEARING IN YOUR BEST FRIENDS POCKET RIGHT BEFORE YOU FIND THE BODY"

Are you serious? He thought Felix had something to do with the murders? "WELL MAYBE IF YOU WOULD ACT LIKE A PROPER FRIEND, AND NOT AN INVESTIGATOR YOU WOULD REALIZE THAT YOU SHOULD BE SUPPORTING YOUR FRIENDS WHEN THEY'RE BEING WARNED THAT THEY PROBABLY ONLY HAVE A FEW DAYS TO LOVE"

That stopped Jisung in his tracks. "What did you say?"

Felix looked confused himself. "I meant live. Not love. Live." But he didn't look so certain. Jisung walked over to Felix, covering the distance in a few strides. "I'm sorry Lixie. I know this is difficult for you. I know you miss him and I know you're stressed over the sketches. I don't think you killed anyone. Of course you didn't. I've known you since we were six. You're the sweetest, purest person I've ever met and anyone who can't see otherwise must be blind." Felix looked at his best friend and wrapped him in a tight hug. "That's all I need"

"Uhhh..."

The two friend turned to the other officer, who was looking rather uncomfortable. "I'm sorry if this is a bad time sir, but we really need you. You see, the man causing trouble claims an acquaintance with you"

Jisungs eyebrow rose. "What's his name?"

The officer cleared his throat.

"Minho sir. His name is Lee Minho."
