I wondered how I got here, living in college debt because I am too broke, stacking books in a library with a boss who hates my guts. Sweat dripped off my chin, I should've decided against wearing a sweatshirt on this hot summer day. Unfortunately for me, the air conditioner in the library was broken and I was left wearing this hot clothing on until I got home. I looked at the clock that was at the front entrance, I only had a few minutes left until my shift ended. I wiped the sweat from my face with my sleeve and pushed the excess up my arms. My long dark brown hair fell down my shoulders. I let out an exasperated sigh. 'I should really cut this stupid hair,' I thought to myself.

I jumbled my hair up into a sloppy ponytail and continued stacking the books in alphabetical order. "Did you hear about that crazy accident that happened yesterday?" I heard some girls talk loudly to each other "Yeah! The truck slammed right into the stalls and killed two people". I let out a sigh, don't these girls know that they're in a library? I headed towards them as they continued talking. "Who were the victims again?" The second girl questioned.

"Wasn't it something Tachibana?" I stopped, halting my footsteps. "Yeah Yeah! Their names were Tachibana Naoto and Hinata, right?" The other girl nodded.

Tachibana... Tachibana... realization hit me. I remember now Tachibana Naoto, he was my best friend when I was in Elementary school. He was a year younger than me back then. I would get bullied in school because my parents separated when I was young, he was the only other kid in my school who got bullied as well. I didn't care much but Naoto suffered a lot, they would take his money and steal his school clothes making school torture for him. I took Martial Arts in those times, from middle school all the way until high school. Because I lived in the streets for a couple of months until my adoptive brother's family took me in and because of how much I was being bullied, I decided to learn how to protect myself. Soon, I became invincible, no one hurt me because I fought back but Naoto was not the same case. I protected him for a while, and we became friends, but that changed after my parents separated. I went to a new school, and I never saw him again.

Tears brimmed my eyes, the only friend I ever had, the only person that I had considered close to me had disappeared. Before I could think twice, I went to the spot where the girls were sitting at. When they saw me, they instantly shut their mouths, "You guys have to lower your voices," I ordered. They nodded politely and I continued, I wanted to ask for more information "About that accident... Do you know any more information on it?" I placed my hand on the table, looking at them calmly "W-well," the girl on the left stuttered and said, "I heard that it was the Tokyo Manji Gang's doing?"

My eyes widened in surprise "Tokyo Manji Gang? That's impossible... I thought-" the other girl interrupted me "Not only that but they've gone around beating women and children like they're nothing. All of that is happening because of this gang..." I closed my mouth withholding my question, I thought that they had disbanded ever since...

Well, ever since Ken passed away in that huge fight they had with Moebius. "And this was today?" I asked, and the girls nodded. I let out a small sigh and said, "Thank you, and please don't raise your voices again because if it happens, I won't be here to say it nicely to you; instead, it'll be my boss who takes over after my shift, alright you two?"

"It's no problem, thank you, miss" They said

I walked away from the two girls with my hands in my pockets.

Tokyo Manji Gang, huh...

..............

My shift finished a few minutes after I had the talk with the two girls. I made my way outside, I needed to go to the train before it left. It's happened several times before where I walk too slowly, thinking about everything that I need to get done and I end up being late. I wasn't about to wait another hour for the four o'clock train to come. I needed to look into that accident again. I rushed all the way to the station; instead of getting there late, I got there earlier. I stood by the edge, took out my phone, and searched on the web about the news today.
