It seems the Trio would learn to control mirror of remote view which back at Yggdrasil had some limitations which lead it's use to be a questionable item as if players had magic not to be seen or cancel the mirror it appears near them it makes it useless but nice for views and has limited range of view

Now it seems without such limitation it seems they were checking the surrounding areas
