POV: Ray

I woke up the next day really nervous.

I got up and threw my headphones in and listened to music and got ready. After I got dressed and brushed my teeth and hair, I grabbed my stuff and went downstairs to get a snack and say goodbye to my mom, who was dropping off my siblings.

I got my shoes on and went to Elly's house so we could walk to school.

It was very cloudy and cold out this morning, which was weird for us because it was usually warm out at this time of year.

Once I made it to Elly's house, I knocked on the door, and she opened it, ready to go to school.

We walked to school and she was telling me about her friends and the people to stay away from. She mentioned one kid that i really shouldn't cross, and his name was Axel. I thought I was going to have fun, but little did I know that was not going to happen.

Once we arrived and went inside she saw her friends and she ran over to say hi, leaving me standing there not knowing what to do. I overheard one of her friends say who's the kid in the glasses in a nasty voice like I was weird or something.

Then Elly said I don't know he just followed me in here, and that hurt a lot." Nobody had been so mean to me.

I just went up to a teacher and asked her what I should do, and she told me to get breakfast and sit at a table till the bell rang. I decided to skip breakfast and just sit down. The bell didn't ring until 20 minutes later  (which felt like the longest 20 minutes of my life).

Once the bell rang, the teacher took me to my first class and gave me someone to follow around all day.

His name was Zach, and he was so nice like actually really nice. He introduced me to his friends, and they all loved me because of my sense of humor.

Zach helped me out all day and was amazing. At lunch I sat with them and we had so much fun.

Other than the Elly thing, today was amazing.

When I started heading home, Elly caught up and asked about my day, and I said, "What do you mean I'm just the guy who followed you in the school right". She said, "I'm so sorry I just, my friends are really judgemental and I, I'm sorry.

I said, "You weren't so sorry when you totally ditched me and talked crap about me, and if they are so judgmental, then why do you want to be friends with them?"

Elly was taken back from my comment and said "the only reason I'm friends with them is because their popular and they're friends with my crush so I can hangout with him when I hangout with them". "That's no excuse," I said and walked off, leaving her standing there taken back by the truth.

I was walking home and felt my phone buzz, so I checked it. While I was checking it, I ran into someone and almost fell over, but he caught me.

When I looked up to see who it was that I just ran into, I saw a tall, handsome guy looking down at me.

He then let go of me and yelled at me. "Watch where you're going idiot" he said. I quickly said, "I'm so sorry. I was just checking me phone".

He was obviously annoyed and said "well that's no excuse not to watch where you're going and run into people."

I was starting to get annoyed with him too so I said "I said I'm sorry dude calm down it's no big deal it was an accident no need to get all worked up about it". And with that, I walked off without waiting for his response. Luckily, I was close to home.

When I got home, my mom was waiting for me with my siblings, and they all said hi when I walked in.

Later, when we were having dinner, my mom asked us about how our days were, and Brittany said, "My day was great, mommy. I made a ton of new friends, and everyone loved me." I was happy to hear that her day was good.

Next was Greg, and he said, " eh my day was alright. I just hung out by myself all day." I wasn't really surprised with his answer he's always alone, and he likes it that way. We have tried to get him to talk to people and make new friends, but he just doesn't want to, so we stopped trying.

Now it was my turn, so I said, "Mine was good. I talked to a few people, both nice and rude."

My mom gave me a look, but I just dismissed it, and she told us about her day.

After dinner, I went to my room and fell asleep thinking about the day I just had.
