A Cinderella story: geek vs charming

When I sleep I start dreaming.

I open my eyes to be in the same room I had at my old house with Ray and Evelyn and Audrey. The room has all my stuff back in it. Ray stands in the doorway smirking, leaning against the frame.

"Sup, four eyes" he says mockingly.

"What do you want ray?!" I say angered.

Then a guy pops up from behind him. He's tall muscular and has a look of pure charm. His hair is nearly jet black and spiked at the front.

"I want you to meet jax" he says pointing to the guy.
"Welcome to the dark side" jax says putting his hand on rays shoulder and he spoke in a clear, low ,thick,Australian accent.

Then my dream fads away and I see Thomas' face come up In front of me.

"Are you okay? You were mumbling 'Ray', 'no', and 'jax' over and over. Who's jax?" Thomas asked.

"I had a bad dream where I was back at my old house and Ray introduced me to a guy named jax and he said welcome to the dark side" I said and Thomas gave me a hug.

"It's okay" he comforted holding me.

The rest of that day was fine.

It's been about a week since we came and it's only a week until school starts. Today was the day Troy was driving over and we were going shopping. Thomas was gonna hate it. That morning when I woke him up I had Troy on speaker while he was driving here.

When Thomas woke up I told him today was shopping day and he groaned.

"WHATS SHE DOING TO YOU TOMMY" Troy screamed trough the phone. Thomas sat up like a bolt and saw the phone and face palmed.

He slicked his hand down his face while I laughed.

"What's going on!?" Troy asked but I could here his joking mood.

"I just woke up Troy" Thomas said already annoyed. I leaned over and placed my hand on his cheek. He smiled as I ran my hand through his hair and then I kissed him. Apparently Troy somehow herd and screamed again "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!????"

"Shut up Troy" Thomas said and kissed me again.

Then I folded back into his arms on the bed and he put an arm around my waist and kissed my neck and I giggled.

"How do you possibly make me feel like a third wheel from here" Troy said in an slightly irritated tone.

She and Thomas smiled and he hugged me close.

"When are you gonna get here?" Thomas asked.

"I just left so near 40 minutes" Troy replied.

"Well Thomas better start getting ready" I said tapping Thomas' nose. I'd already gotten up and showered,dressed,and cooked breakfast.

On very occasional days I can be a morning person.

"Well izzy better stop being so cute or I'll never be able to pull myself away" he said and I smiled ,awed, and hugged him while Troy pretended to gag over the phone.

"Gag all you want Troy but I know for a fact you'd switch places with me in a heart beat" Thomas said and I slapped his chest lightly and scowled at him. Troy had never really got over me and there was no reason to rub it in that I picked Thomas. Don't get me wrong, I love Troy like a brother, but I love Thomas like my lover. 😏😝.

There was silence over the phone. While I sent Thomas a scolding glare and he cowered under my eyes.

"Well, we'll let you get back to the road" I said.
