A Cinderella story: geek vs charming

Dance disaster

When we arrived we put the masks on and walked in. Somehow jax immediately found us.

"Hey guys" he said in his same cute Aussie accent but he was beaming.

Me and Thomas both said hey back.

We danced a little and Jax danced with a cute girl I didn't notice. He had his mask on and it was just like thomas'. They turned the lights now really low and started playing a slow song. Thomas found me and he smiled and held out his hand without saying a word. I took his hand and he pulled me close and I put one hand around his neck and held his in the other. He smiled at me and watched his feet but he was really really improving! I leaned in closer to him and touched our foreheads and he smiled more. I tilted my head and kissed him softly but something was off. He kissed back softly and when we pulled back I looked at him questioning. "I'm glad you found your senses"
Oh no. It was Jax!!! They looked the same and he didn't talk so I couldn't hear his accent and they looked similar and the masks hid his face and omg. No no no.
"No. I didn't mean to. I thought you were Thomas" I said and then ran away from him. I raced through the dance and tried to find Thomas. There. I saw his blue shirt as the lights came on brighter and he was..making out with another girl. He saw me and looked over.

"Izzy?!" I heard him say before i sprinted out. I sat and started crying on a bench outside. At least I didn't mean to cheat. I thought it was Thomas! He knew that wasn't me. I can't believe him. After all that's happened with us. How did I not see this.
"Hey" I heard Jax say and looked up. I don't know what to feel anymore. I thought I loved Thomas but i dont know anymore.

"Look. I saw Thomas and that girl together. I'm really sorry" he said.

"It's fine. I'm done with him." I said in a whimper.

"You mean your done with Thomas?" He asked and I nodded. He put his hand down for me.

"Then come to the dark side" he said smirking.

I took his hand.

We ran through the parking lot until we got to his shinny black and chrome motorcycle. He hopped on and I got on behind him and wrapped my arms around him and put my head on his back. I tried to calm my tears as he drove but they still came and I was sad about Thomas but at least I know who he is.

THOMAS POV

" no izzy. Wait!" I yelled after her. I tried to run after her but this girl pinned me on the wall and kissed me again. She just asked if I wanted to dance and I said okay but then she kissed me and i just don't know what happened after that. It went way far. It's like I forgot about her for that instant. Then she saw and I'm doomed. "No stop. I have a girl friend" I said avoiding her kisses. "Yeah. Me" she said kissing me again. Ugh.

JAX POV

I not only got my job done but I also got the girl. Ha. Jokes on Ray. You can never fully trust a bad boy. I go for what I want and I want izzy. She ran with me. We got on my bike and she got on with no hesitation. I rode her to my place. She got off and tears still stained her cheeks. I used my thumb to brush them off. Then we walked into my apartment and I let her in and she sat on the couch and cried.

"It's okay. You don't have to deal with him now " I said putting my arm around her. She cried more.

"I-i need to call Troy" she whimpered. "Who is Troy?" I asked.

"His brother" she said and stood up.

"Is there a room I can go to?" She asked.

"Uh yeah. First on the left. It's my room. Make yourself at home" I said and she walked off.
