"Where are we going!" I shout to Will.
"Just follow me!" He shouts back.
We were currently skating through our small town to an unknown location. Our town was like you would see in a TV show. Shops on the side of the roads, lawns green and mowed, people strolling along the sidewalk. Everyone has a routine that they don't interfere with. I had a routine, go to school make good grades, play soccer then hangout with my friends and boyfriend at the park or movies. But Will coming here interrupted my routine and I'm grateful that he did.We skated past the movie theatre and the park. Finally, we stopped at a Walmart.
I looked at Will strangely but he smiled and walked in. I followed him and watched as he put his board down and pushed off into the aisles. I jogged to catch up with him.
"You can't skate in here," I say quietly.
He looked down at me and smiled. "Oh innocent Molly, that's the point."
I stopped and watched him in awe. He had such confidence and didn't care if he got caught.
"You coming or what?" He yelled from in front of me.
I smiled, put my board down and pushed off to catch up with him.
We weaved around the aisles and Will grabs things when we pass by.
Water balloons, Doritos, two cans of coke and a box of Ferro Roches which are my favorite candy in the world. He also had me grab two fluffy towels and a blanket.
"Why are we buying this stuff?" I questioned.
He turned around and smirked, "So we can have fun you genius."
I rolled my eyes and started to the cash register.
When we were checking out I got a text from Mitch.
Mitch:)<3- Hey where are you? You never miss school. You ok?
Shit, I forgot about Mitch.
Molly- Ya I'm fine I just wasn't feeling great. I'm fine though, just needed fresh air.
I'm technically not lying, am I?
Mitch:)<3- Okay I'll get your homework for you. See you after school.
Mitch is the perfect boyfriend, always nice, never questioning, always trusting. Will on the other hand is confident and fun and different. He does what he wants but still cares about the person he's with.Once everything was packed up we started skating to another unknown location. Luckily it wasn't that far from Walmart. We stopped in front of a small gazebo that I didn't even know existed. It was surrounded by a small lake in a large field with a paved pathway to get to it.
"I didn't even know this existed," I say quietly.
"No one does," Will replied, "Cmon."
We made our way to the gazebo slowly and quietly. We payed out the large blanket in the center of the floor and layer all the other stuff on the benches.
"So what first?" Will asked, "Water balloon fight, food or just lay here and talk."
I smirk, these are like my favorite things to do especially in summer. "Let's eat first. You're gonna be so sad when I beat you in the water balloon fight that you won't want to eat."
He put on a cocky grin. "Is that so?"
I nod and sit down on the soft blanket. He rolls his eyes and starts to open the chips, sodas and the box of chocolates.
"How did you know this was all my favorite stuff?" I ask while munching on a chocolate.
"Let's just say Ryan isn't only rich, he's very observant too," he smiles.
"Of Course he is." I mumble.
After we finish eating we fill up the water balloons with a small spout we found and placed them at our sides.
"Wait I don't want to get my clothes wet, we should've gone home and gotten swimsuits," I say disappointed.
"Let's just do it in our underwear," Will said while taking off his gray vans shirt and SnapBack.
I must've stared at his chest for too long because soon he was in front of me snapping his fingers.
"Hello, earth to Molly?"
I shake my head, "What?"
He chuckles, "Let's just do the fight in our underwear, that's what swimsuits basically are."
"But uh I-" before I could make a complete sentence Will was in his boxers.
I turn my head and hear him laugh from behind me.
"Molly it's not like I'm gonna jump you, were friends."
I breath in and out. "I guess you're right."
I turn to look at him and smirk. "Nice superman boxers by the way."
He looks down and blushes slightly but I just laugh.
"Don't look ok?" I say while grabbing the hem of my shirt.
"Ok," he said while turning around.
I pulled my shirt over my head and folded neatly on the bench. Then, hesitantly, I unbutton my jeans and slide them down. I fold them along with my socks and put them on the bench with my shirt and shoes.
I look down at what I'm wearing. A purple and black tie die sports bra, I don't like actual bras, and batman underwear. Don't judge I just love batman. I grab one of my water balloons and get ready to throw it.
"Ok you can turn around now."
"Final-" Will starts but was cut off by a water balloon hurtling towards his face.
I laugh and throw my arms up in victory while he wiped his face with his arm.
"Told you I could kick your butt," I brag.
"Ya? Well nice batman underwear." I blush slightly and pick up another water balloon.
Will picks one up too and throws it at me. It hits me in the side and soaks part of my underwear. Ugh cotton and water sucks.
"Molly, watch out!" He cries as he throws another one at me. I duck and throw one at him, it hits him square in the chest. He threw his hand up and pretended to be hurt.
I laughed and laid in the grass for a moment, only to be picked up and thrown over Wills shoulder.
I pounded on his lower back and kicked my legs. "Will put me down!" I squeal.
"Ok if you say so," Then he dropped me into the clear lake.
I kicked in the water and swam up for air to see a laughing Will.
"Will I cant swim," I gasped.
His eyes widened and he reached his hand out to pull me out. I grabbed it then pulled him in. He tumbled in the water causing a big splash and a lot of waves.
I giggled at his groan and him mumbling how stupid he was.
"Will that's the oldest trick in the book!" I exclaim.
"I know I know," he groaned.
I smiled at his floppy wet hair and pale face.
"Let's get out and dry up, this water is cold!" He exclaimed.
I nodded in agreement and hauled myself out of the pond.
We wrapped the fluffy towels around us and sat in the sun. We didn't talk we just sat there, enjoying each other's presence.
"Why did you move here?" I ask breaking the silence.
"My dads job. Took me from all my friends. Luckily there were already people I knew here."
"Who?" I ask again.
"Ryan, Brayden and Mitch. And my friend Graser lives in Canada too."
"You said you met Ryan at orientation."
"Well uh-" He started.
"And I've never heard Mitch and Brayden tell me that they know you."
"Well uh you see. Dammit I shouldn't have told you."
"But you did and yall are my friends I should have the right to know." I say.
"You're right. But you are not allowed to speak of this with anyone but Ryan, Brayden, Mitch and I. Ok?"
I nod and lean closer.
"We're part of this gaming community called the Cube and we're all Minecraft youtubers. Don't tell anyone though cause we don't know if there's fans here and there are some crazy people." He rushed out.
"That's it! Dude I have a channel too and you wouldn't tell me still!" I scream. I smack him on the arm and huff out air.
"Molly I didn't know that!" He exclaims, "I'm sorry. I really am. What can I do to make it up to you?"
I smirk, "Let me collab with you for my channel."
He smiles at me, "Done."
He looks at his watch and his face goes slack.
"Shit I forgot." He scrambled to the gazebo and pulled his pants on.
I looked at him confused.
"There's an assembly today and for some goddamn reason they want me to be a part of it since I'm new."
He throws my jeans at me and starts gathering our stuff, still shirtless and shoeless.
"Will, just bundle all the stuff up in the blanket then we'll come back and get it later." I say while pulling on my jeans.
He nods and puts all the stuff under the bench in the blanket.
I slip my tank top over my head and put on my vans. Will shoves his shoes on and throws his shirt over his shoulder since it's still wet.
We grab our boards and race to school. Hopefully there won't be too many questions about why Will and I are soaking wet and coming to school late. Hopefully.
