"Gregory!" I called, knocking on his door for the third time. "Your gonna be late!" I waited a second and got no response. I liked to give my brother his privacy but he was going to be late, again. "Rise and Shine." I said walking across the room to his window and flinging open the curtains. "Shut the blinds." He groaned. His dark eyes peering over the top of the bedsheets. "No." I responded in the same whiny tone, smiling at him. "Come on, up and at 'em." I tickled his arm, he quickly pulled it under the sheet and glared at me. "You know you love me." I smiled as he sat up, rubbing his eyes. "I'd love you more if you let me sleep in." He responded as I hugged him. "I did! Look you only have this week and next week and its summer break. Then you can sleep in all you want.
Okay we don't have time for this. Breakfast?" "Cereal please." He said slowly getting up and heading to his dresser. "Alright be down in ten." I said shutting his door and heading downstairs.

"You done?" I asked as he finished his orange juice. Gregory nodded, wiping his upper lip and pulling his backpack on. "Do you have your lunch?" He held up his lunchbox as I grabbed the keys. "Do you-" "We go through this every morning! I have everything. Lunchbox, waterbottle, homework, copies, pencil case. I got it!" He looked at me shaking his head, as we piled into the car. We drove to school listening to grapes by James Marriot, one of our favourite songs. I pulled up outside his school and he started grabbing his things. "Oh! Wait Gregory-" "yes I know it's Monday I have my gym kit." He smiled opening the car door. "Okay, sorry. Stay safe, don't do anything stupid." I smiled back at him as he leaned in through the car window. "Love you." "Love you too." He responded quietly so no one could hear. Giving me a quick fist bump he ran to join Cassie. I watched them walk inside and headed away back home.
