The car ride over was silent and tense. Gregory sat in the passenger seat looking out the window, trying hard not to face me. We were 10 minutes into the car ride and I couldn't bear it anymore. "Gregory. I- I'm sorry I didn't believe you. It's just you have to see where I'm coming from! You and Cassie have done A lot to me, like a lot a lot." He gave a small shaky laugh. "Gregory?" I looked at him just to see him impatiently brush a tear from his cheek. "Hey! It's okay Cassies going to be fine!" I stopped at the red light and took his hand in mine. "What If we're too late." He said in barely more than a whisper. "We won't be." I said squeezing his hand. "But what If we are? What if Cassies already dead and its all my fault! That thing lured her in using my voice! She thinks she's helping me! It's my fault If she's dead!" He was crying now, big heaving sobs. He buried his head in his knees determined not to look at me. We pulled up to the pizzaplex and I wrapped my arms around him. "It's okay." Was all I could manage to say. "It's okay."
"Ugh." Gregory jumped down onto the floor and let go of my hand, brushing himself off. "Cassie? Cassie! Cassie hello!!!" He yelled into the depts of the building. I pulled a flashlight out of my bag and hit it a few times to turn it on. I handed one to Gregory and began walking towards the stairs past the entry. "Woah..it's so...empty." Greogry said kicking a box out of his way. "Yeah, weird we were here less than a year ago." I agreed pushing past a wooden board. "It was flooded with people then." I waved my hand infront of me coughing loudly. "Jesus its dusty in here." "And echoey." Gregory replied from my left. "Ow! Watch where you shine that!" He shielded his eyes as I lowered my flashlight setting. "Sorry...hey check this out." He peered over my shoulder. Footprints lay in the heavy layer of dust. "They have to be Cassie's." He said, blowing some of the dust away. "Only one way to find out." I motioned to the darkness spread out infront of us. Gregory gulped and shone his torch down it. "Nervous?" "No." He replied quickly. I took his hand. "We know what's past here it's the main entrance remember? How could that be scary?" "It was when it was crawling with security bots." He retorted, but didn't pull his hand away. "Let's just find Cassie."
We made out way to the centre of the pizzaplex. The golden statue that used to shine grandly in the middle of the hall was covered in a thick layer dust and freddy's head was broken and lying on the ground. I shone my torch on it before hearing a loud cracking from behind me. I spun around quickly to find Gregory kicking wooden boards out of the way. "Could you be any louder?" I hissed over at him. He glared back. "We'll if Cassie hears the noise she'll know its someone here." "Or something and we don't want to attract the thing that lured her here." I shot back. "If this is real that is." I mumbled under my breath. "Really!? You still don't believe me!" Gregory turned around. I shrugged. "What happened to trusting each other." He mocked me. I snorted. "With all the pranks you and Cassie have played I don't think you can talk." "Well if you really look it-" I tuned him out and turned away from him, walking around to the front desk and I began snooping around. I shuffled through some papers. It was all just business junk until I came across a paper that had. "You should fire Dave, he sucks." Scrawled across it. I gave a half laugh at that. No one had worked here for a long time now so whether Dave had got fired or not I'd never know. All of a sudden I heard a metal clunking from the distance. "So that doesn't really count-" "Gregory! Shut up!" I hissed briskly walking over to him. "Jeez, I'm trying to explain myself to you after your insulting accusations and now you won't even let me-" I slapped my hand over his mouth quickly cutting him off. He mumbled protests and tried pulling my hand away. I dragged him into a nearby photobooth and pulled the curtain closed as quietly as I could. The metal clunking was very loud now and the ground was starting to quiver. He turned to me wide eyed. I gave a nod and peered through the curtain. We knew that metal clunking too well. As the unknown animatronic came closer we shrank back into the depths of the photo booth. The noise of large metal feet was so loud now my ears were ringing and it felt like they're was an earthquake happening. I took a chance and moved closer to the crack in between the curtain and wall. Peering out, while trying to stay out of sight I caught a glimpse of an extremely dirty, gross looking robot. But I knew the somewhat neon pink outfit from anywhere. I slowly moved back into the darkness of the photobooth. "Chica." I mouthed to Gregory. We sat in eerie silence waiting for her to leave. My heart was in my throat and pounding heavily. Eventually after what seemed like years she decided somewhere else was more appealing to her. The clunking momentarily seemed to stop directly infront of the booth. I thought I was gonna throw up. Until it passed by. I let out an internal sigh and sat there letting my breath turned back to normal.
A sharp pain in my hand let me know it was still clasped over my brothers mouth. I pulled it away quickly. "You didn't need to bite me!" I hissed.
"Well you were ignoring my mumbles of protest and I was tugging on your arm." Gregory retorted, sitting back onto his knees. I peered through the curtain again before slowly getting out. I pulled him out and peered towards the stairs. "Ow!" He slipped on the tiled floor. "Okay, Chica's in the gift shop we're fine. You okay?" "Yeah...Uck! There's some sort of goop on the floor." He got up quickly and brushed himself off. "You think it came from Chica?" He asked following me towards the main stage. "Maybe, she didn't look her best when I saw her." I stepped over some wooden boards. "What d'you think she do if she found us? You think they're all still after us?" "I'm not sure but I bet she's not overjoyed about you smashing her face off." I pulled him over broken chairs. He gave a small snort of laughter. "It's not funny! They'll probably want like revenge or something." I shoved him so he fell back over the chairs and walked towards the main stage. "They were trying to kill us if you don't remember! I did what I had to do in the moment." He brushed himself off and ran after me. "And now they want eternal revenge. They're robots, they don't die but they sure can kill us." I stepped infront of the stage and looked around. "Didn't this place look a lot better when we were last here." Gregory, pulled himself up on the stage. "Yeah well now it's in ruin so..." I sat on the stage and looked around. Gregory dropped down to sit next to me. "D'you think Freddy could be here?" He asked playing with the strap of his broken faz-watch. "I don't think so Greg." I said watching him. "But-he could be...right?" He looked up at me. "Yeah, he might be." I nodded giving him a small smile. "Hey what's that?" He pointed at something shining in the distance. I slid off the stage and peered in the distance. "Let's check it out.""It's a toolbox." Gregory sighed. "Nothing exciting." "Yeah but look, it looks like Somethings missing." I bent down and pointed to a space in the mess of tools that clearly indicated something had been there previously. "The dust hasn't fully settled. It was probably taken recently." "Cassie could have taken it!" Gregory kneeled next to me and pulled out the instructions. "The only thing missing is a Faz-wrench." I looked at the paper in his hands. "Cassie's dad has one." Gregory mumbled to himself. "She's been here. I know it!" "We'll where could she have gone around here?" I asked him. "The only three places really around here is the daycare, el chips and the gift shop." He pointed them out. "Well we can see to both el chips and the gift shop." I said "Maybe she went to the daycare since there's no windows there!" Gregory grabbed my hand and pulled me upwards. "Let's go!"
