Chapter 2

Rina's POV

Things to do today:

- Pick up my school uniform
- Groceries
- Cook dinner

Mom was busy cleaning the whole house, moving things. I was helping her but she told me to do my priorities first, since school is coming.

"I'll be back!" I shouted from the gate. "Noted!" Mom shouted back. It was a peaceful bus ride from my house to the school. In the entrance, you can see the 'Hanyeon University' above the gate.

I went straight to the Registrar's office before I could be lost inside this campus, it wasn't this big in the pictures but somehow those pics deceived me.

"Uniform, name tag, locker keys, don't lose it." The lady told me giving me a slight glare. "Your schedule, a list of what to bring and what NOT to bring."

"Okay...Thank you." I said and put my school stuff inside my tote bag. "Can I look around the campus?"

"Hmm, sure. Library's at the second floor, bathroom, staring ahead then left. Soccer field at the back-"

"Woah, there's a soccer field?" My eyes widened. "Yes, we have varsities here. It could get loud around the game season." She replied.

I said thank you again then proceed to look around. "Library...2nd floor."

The Library was big BIG. It's like heaven for me, every time I have a free period I can hang out around here. Where there is silence and peace.

I walked around the shelves, wandering. There was no librarian because the school hasn't started yet.

I'm always the new kid in every town I was from. But, mom and dad did make sure this is the last time we're moving and I am so glad to hear that.

Moving around with no proper house and friends is hard. Especially when you have to make NEW friends again and again.

While day dreaming, I heard a noise out at the window, when I look outside, there I saw the soccer field. The noise was just not any noise, it was voices from the varsity players playing at the field.

"I guess I found where the soccer field is." I mumbled.

I went downstairs again and walked towards the vending machine, I'm a bit thirsty from going around the campus. I choose the lemon soda, put the coin there and pressed the button.

I grabbed the soda then when I was about to walk away I bumped onto someone's chest. Hitting my forehead.

"Ow-"

"Oops, sorry didn't see you there." A deep voice chuckled.

"Sorry too." I said while massaging my forehead, I look up then my eyes widened.

The person standing before me is the boy from the rain. Now he's wearing a soccer uniform. "Oh, it's you." He said.

"Me?" I repeated. Did he remembered me?

"Will you be attending this school? You look new around here?" He asked.

"Uh, yeah. Just trying to look around the campus." I said and he nods his head. "Are you going to use the vending machine?" I moved to the side.

"Yep, thank you-"

"Ya! Ni-ki, get back here we're not done training yet!" A boy suddenly appeared out of nowhere with a soccer ball on his hand.

He's name is Ni-ki then

"I'll be just grabbing a drink Taki!"

My feet moved to walk away when he spoke again. "I didn't get your name, Miss?"

"Rina."

"I'm Ni-ki."

"Nice to meet you, Ni-ki." I smiled, wiped my hand on my skirt since it's wet from the cold soda and handed it out for a shake.

He looks down on my hand then held it. "See you around, Rina."

He turned and ran back to his training. I sighed and left.

...

"Mom! I'm home!~"

"Glad you didn't got lost." She kissed the side of my head. "Of course." I scoffed playfully then went to the kitchen to cook dinner.

"The chill do have a soccer field!" I shouted to the living room where mom is.

"That's nice to hear!" She shouted back. "Was the uniform okay?!"

"Yes! Fits like a glove!"

...

After eating dinner was of course, sleeping. But before I do sleep, I had a call with dad.

"Hey, dad."

"Hi, sweetheart. How was it there?" He said from the other line.

"Great, looks like one of those in the k-dramas not gonna lie. My school even has its own soccer field."

"You're living the dream, then."

I sat on my bed. "How's work?"

"Still work, need to pull some all-nighter for some projects."

"Sounds...tiring. Make sure to eat on time, yeah?"

"Yes, make sure you and your mother eat on time too."

"Okay, goodnight."

"Rest well, sweetheart."

Short update 🥹 been busy for a long LONG time. I am re-writing this story since I found the first one sort of cringey 😬
