The hunt

Bear's POV
It's been day's viper had to have one of his female nurse friends come and put a catheter in Jamie's we don't know how long she will be out tiny and knuckles are wrecks constantly checking in on their baby sister while I'm locked in my office trying to track down her former adopted parents. I haven't seen Jamie since I payed her down in my bed I haven't talked to any of my brothers other than hacker though he wasn't much help all he wants to do is talk about his baby sister which I wouldn't have a problem with but I'm trying to find the people responsible.

There's a knock on my office door that pulls me from my thoughts. I straighten my desk up before answering
"Come in." I say with a graph voice
And in walks paws
"Hey boss man I brought you something to eat." She says putting a plate of food in front of me.
"Thanks you darlin, how are things out there?" I ask just looking at the food not really having an attitude.
"Oh you know the boys keep pestering Ice about you, no one's seen you in days, viper is trying his best with knuckles and tiny and Jamie." She informs me playing with her hands, she only does that when she's nervous.
"What's going on darlin?" I ask her
"Oh viper asked if you could meet him in his room, he said he's tried to get a hold of you all day." He says
"Yeah phone kinda died didn't bring the cord with me, I should really get one for in here." I half ass chuckle
I stand and stretch my arms over my head.
"Maybe take a shower before going to see what viper wants you for, use mine and claws room it's closer." She says with a small smile.
"Are you trying to tell me I smell?" I ask her faking being offended
"Oh I wouldn't dream of it mr boss man." He laughs as she leave the room, I smell myself and grimace okay I'm showering first.

Time skip

I finish with my shower I borrowed some of claws shorts and walk to my room seeing viper standing outside my door
"Bear!" He yells
" what's up why are you yelling at me?" I ask him with a pointed look
"I've been trying to call you all day." He says giving me back the pointed look
"You know where my office is man don't give me that shit, can I get dressed now?" I ask him
"Oh sure go right on in while your in there say hi you Jamie." He says trying to walk away
"Hold it right there!" I yell at him
"Yes boss man?" He gives me a cheeky smile
I don't say another word as I rush into my room, I look towards my bed hopping to see her laying there sleeping but the bed is empty.
"Little one?" I ask shyly
Than the bathroom door open and glacier's head pop out.
"Give us a second boss man, and put some clothes on." She say closing the door
I rush into my closet and throw on a pair of gray sweatpants and a random shirt. As I finish pulling the fuck in the door to the bathroom opens again than the bedroom door. I walk out of my closet and stop dead in my tracks, there she is standing there freshly bathed.
"Little one?"I ask her again
She continued to just stand that looking at me
"Baby? Do you remember who I am?" I ask her nervously.
"Yes." Is all she says
"Can you tell me?" I ask
"Don't you know who you are?" She teased
"Oh I know who I am I just need to make sure you know, because the last time I saw you, you where calling me papa." I tell her
"Oh my goodness I am so sorry!" She shrinks into herself
"No no no baby your okay, just tell me know you think I am to be sure." I try to sooth her
"Your bear my knight is leather." She says to me with a very small smile, which make it brake out into a full ear to ear grin, which makes her gasp
"What... what's wrong... are you in pain?" I ask her in pain rushing to her
"Oh goddess no viper have me some painkillers an hour ago." She says looking down at her feet.
"You've been awake for a hour?" I ask why didn't anyone come get me sooner fucking assholes.
"No I woke up last night but went back to sleep until viper came to check on me this morning." She says
Fuck I need to plug my phone in
"Baby can I hold you?" I ask lifting her face to look at me from her chin, she looks up and nods.
I wasted not another second gathering her in into my arms placing my hands on her thighs lift her off the ground making her squeal. She wraps her tiny arms around my neck to keep herself from falling, like I would let that happen.
I wrap arm around her waist while my other is under her keeping her on my body as I bury my face in her wet hair sighing in relief my baby is wake.
