As we walk out into the open field, we almost immediately see Micayla walking around, her eyes searching for anyone she can see. I silently plead she spots us without having to make it too obvious we want to be caught. I slip my arm through Ever's. She's shaking like a leaf in the wind. I look over at her, I can see she's very pale.
"It's ok Ever. I promise he's not following us." I whisper to her, turning my head again so I can see behind us through my peripheral vision. He's not there. Good, I tell myself, Good, no need to be scared. Just get to Micayla and everything will be fine.

After a few more minutes of slowly walking in Micayla's direction she spots us. She dashes over to us, slowing down as she nears. I can see the confusion splayed across her face.
"Why aren't you running?" she questions. I shrug, still at a loss for words.
She turns to Ever, and the blood drains from her face, "Are you ok Ever? Are you hurt? '' she gasps.
"No, no I'm fine." Ever stutters, clearly not ok at all.

"Can we get everyone back together? Have you seen the boys at all?" I ask.

"No, I haven't seen anyone other than you guys. I thought maybe for once I was outmatched by the scenery." Micayla replies. Ever starts shaking again beside me. Micayla's words send a snaking chill down my spine. Twice in one night, definitely not good. A few more seconds and Ever cracks. She starts sobbing into her hands.
"Oh, Ever are you sure you're ok?" Micayla offers, wrapping her arms around her waist and pulling her into a tight hug. I'm envious of her, feeling the same exact way like I want to burst into frightened tears and allow someone to comfort me and tell me everything is fine, and that my eyes were just playing tricks on me. That no one is watching me hungrily from the shadows.
"Ok! What is going on?" Micayla blurts, bringing me out of my thoughts. "You two look as if you've just seen demons and will forever be scared."
"We did." I grimly replied.
