Classes and basketball

Tenten's POV

I woke up to a voice counting. " 489, 490, 491, 492....." I sat up from my bed and saw that Lee was doing pushups on the floor. Neji groaned loudly. "Some people are trying to sleep here, you know..." He said to Lee. "I need to train as hard as I can for Guy Sensei!!!" Lee said, determined. As I couldn't sleep anymore, I walked to the bathroom to get ready. "Good morning guys!" I said cheerily before going inside the toilet. I hated this disgusting school uniform.

The three of us walked to breakfast together, quietly. Lee suddenly spoke up. "Tenten-san, what's your schedule? " he asked me. I showed it to him. Neji looked over Lee's shoulder. "Looks like the first period is with Kurenai Sensei," He said."Tenten, Hinata, Lee and I are in that class too." I sighed in relief. I didn't want to be left alone with some random strangers. We tried to find a seat in the cafeteria but turns out Naruto already reserved one for us. We all sat down together. "Good morning, Tenten-san!!" Naruto said happily. He always had a grin on his face. He put his arm around Hinata's shoulder. Hinata blushed a deep red. I giggled at the sight. "You guys dating?" I asked them. Hinata went even more red. Neji just gave Naruto the classic Hyuga death stare. Naruto gulped. "No!! I would never, unless Neji allowed." He smirked. Hinata giggled. Just then, Sakura and Ino walked over to our table. "Morning!!" Sakura said. "Any gossip going on?" Ino asked. I looked at her curiously. "I have a gossip column. " she explained. I said a 'Ohhh' in response. Kiba, Sasuke, Sai and Shikamaru walked over. "Whatcha guys talking about?" Kiba asked. "Don't ask, it's a hassle." Shikamaru said, collapsing on our table and falling asleep. "How does he even do that?" Naruto asked. I shrugged. I looked around. "Hey guys, where's Temari, Kankuro and Gaara?" I asked. Kiba shrugged. "I don't know, probably hanging out, they're siblings after all. " I looked at him in surprise. They had nothing in common. Literally nothing. The recess bell rang. We all said goodbye to each other and I walked to the first period with Hinata, Neji and Lee.

"Class, today we have a new student. Please welcome Tenten-san!" Kurenai Sensei said. Everyone clapped. "Tenten, please come to the front and introduce yourself." She said. I walked up to the front. "Hey, I'm Tenten, and yeah that's it I guess?" I said awkwardly, then proceeding to walk back to my seat. Lee gave me a thumbs up and shouted, "THIS IS MY YOUTHFUL FRIEND, TENTEN-SANNN!!!!" I laughed. Lee was so full of energy.

Tenten's POV

"Kurenai Sensei's class is not so bad!" I said. Hinata and Lee laughed. Neji just stared into the distance. The rest of the day passed by like a blur. All the classes were not so bad... except for Jiraiya Sensei's class. He's a real pervert. Gross.

6.30PM

I lay in my bed. Where did Lee and Neji go? I wondered. Just then, a realization hit me."SHIT!!!" I yelled. I grabbed my water bottle and a pair of clean clothes, then wore my basketball shoes and raced to the basketball court.

Neji's POV

Where is she? I wondered. "Hey, where's Tenten?" I asked Lee. He shrugged. "I don't know. The last time I saw her she was in our room... " He said. Just then, someone ran into the court. She had twin buns and a very tired face full of sweat. "Neji, I'm so sorry!!" Tenten said to me. I crossed my arms and sighed. "Please still let me join Neji! I beg you!" She gave me puppy eyes and a sad look. "Fine, I'm only letting you join if you are good at basketball, ok? And don't be late again." I said, rubbing my temples. "Thank you Neji!!!" She brought me into a hug. My heart pounded a little. Neji, not the time, my brain said. I pulled away from her. "Okay, let me introduce you to the players, " I said.

Tenten's POV

"Okay Tenten, you already know Kiba, Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Sai, Lee, Gaara and Kankuro. This is Shino. " Neji pointed to a guy wearing goggles. "Okay..." I said slowly. "And this, " he said, "is our only two girls on our team, which you know, Fuu and Temari, " He pointed at them. I waved and they waved back. "Lastly, this is Itachi, Sasori and Deidara." He pointed at 3 men. The first guy, Itachi, kinda reminded me of Sasuke, except with a different hairstyle.
I later found out he was the older brother of Sasuke. The second had red hair like Gaara, and he looked a little like a girl. He was pretty handsome though. The last guy, Deidara, had yellow hair and had it in a ponytail, like Ino's. I shook their hands. Then we started playing. After awhile, I went to talk to Temari and Fuu. "Your pretty good! " Fuu said. "Neji'll surely let you in. " Temari said, patting my shoulder. "Thanks, guys. " I said. Then we went to Neji and the rest of the team. "Tenten, your in. " Neji said. I squealed happily and said, "Thank you so much, Neji!! I won't let you down! " "I know you won't. " He said, with a smile. I pretended to look shocked. "THE Neji Hyuga is smiling?!" I said, smirking. His face turned a little pink. I laughed.
