My/her first basketball game

Tenten's POV

"Well, the movie wasn't all bad, but do you guys wanna go back now?" I asked my friends. Shikamaru and Neji shrugged. Naruto and Lee replied energetically, "Okay!" The girls all nodded their heads except Ino. "Aww! So soon?" She sighed. Sai put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, beautiful, we can still talk when we get back, " Sai said, smiling at her. Ino blushed deeply. "Umm... beautiful?" Then she did that thing with her shoulders. Temari smirked, then rolled her eyes. Then, all of us walked to the carpark.

As we walked to the carpark, I spotted a few guys looking at me, smirking. One of them winked at me. I smiled at him and winked back. He smiled. Neji looked over at him and gave him the death stare. He glared right back. Then he motioned to his 'gang' and walked over to our group. The guy who winked at me walked to me and took out his hand. "Hi, beautiful," He said directly to me,"I saw you from over there, what's your name?" He asked me. I smirked, then said, "Shouldn't the guy say his name first?" All my friends watched us with interest, especially Ino. She giggled. Neji rolled his eyes, then looked at me worriedly. "Okay, I guess. My name's Sato Yuki." He winked at me again. "Nice to meet you, Sato, I'm Tenten." I said, grinning. Then I shook his hand. Then we exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes.

"I'm sooooo boredd" I purposely dragged out my words. I groaned and looked at my phone. It was about 7.00pm. I felt so bored

The next day

Neji's POV

She looks pretty when she sleeps....I watched Tenten sleep in her bed. Her hair was spread all over her pillow. Her eyes were closed peacefully. "TIME TO WAKE UP TENTEN-SANNN!!" Lee shouted loudly. "Don't shout....... " Tenten yawned. She sat up and looked at the time. It was 7.00am. Classes started at 7.30. "SHIT! NEJI YOU JERK!!" She hit me with the pillow and shouted. "WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP IDIOT!!!!!" Then she ran to the bathroom to get changed. When she came out, the three of us went to the cafeteria.

Sakura's POV

"WHAT THE HELL IS TAKING THEM SO LONGGG!" Ino yelled. I sighed. "Chill out, Ino pig," I said in frustration. Then, the three musketeers walked into the cafeteria. "Finally!! Hi!" Ino said, swinging her arm around Tenten. "Thank god you came, Ino was freaking out........ So loud, what a drag." Shikamaru said tiredly. "Wow! Never heard you say anything for a long time except 'what a drag'. " Naruto said, grinning.

At basketball practice

Tenten's POV

"Are we ever going to have a proper match?" I groaned. "It's been so boring," I said. "Speaking of which, actually we're having a match this Friday!" Temari said, putting her arm around me. Today was Monday so......... About four more days."Why didn't you tell me?" I asked the basketball team, particularly Temari. "Well, we didn't wanna stress you out or anything." Fuu answered for her. So then, I started training harder for the basketball match on Friday.

Time skip to Friday

Tenten's POV

I could hear the cheers coming from the outside. When my team and I walked to the arena the crowd went wild. "First up, give it up for the Konoha Basketball Team!!!!" There were cheers, and some boo's, probably from the team supporting the Hidden Cloud. "And now, please give it up for.....The Hidden Cloud Team!!" As usual, the team supporting Hidden Cloud cheered, and our supporters booed. When the Hidden Cloud team came out, I saw a guy. His face was very familiar. He had black eyes and dark blue hair (NOT SASUKE) and he had a familiar smirk on his face. Then he winked at me. I then realised it was Sato. Sato Yuki. I had met him at the mall a few days ago. I waved and he waved back. Neji looked over and he gave Sato the 'stare' again. Sato's face went black. Then we got into our positions and the game started.

"Tweet!"
The whistle sounded. First, Temari snatched the ball from a player from the opposing team. Then, she passed it to Shika. He dribbled the ball carefully but then was cornered. He threw the ball to Neji, who threw the ball to the hoop. The alarm buzzed. "Team Konoha, 1, Team Cloud, 0" The announcer said. Ino, Sakura and Hinata cheered, they were the cheerleaders after all. Then round two began.

The final match

Third person POV

Fuu dribbled the ball across the court, then threw the ball to Tenten, who was the closest to the net. Everyone held their breath. Tenten dribbled closer and closer until..............

BEEP!! BEEP!!! BEEP!!!!
Temari looked at Fuu, Fuu looked at Tenten. They grinned. Suddenly, there were an eruption of cheers filling the court. The supporters from Konoha cheered loudly and did a standing ovation. Konoha had won Cloud, 15-14. Temari and Fuu lifted Tenten on their shoulders while the boys chanted loudly, "KO-NO-HA!! KO-NO-HA!!!! KO-NO-HA!!!!!!" Neji just smiled. Then he ran over to Tenten and gave her a big hug. Tenten stared into the distance, in shock. Ino squealed loudly. She whipped out her phone and snapped a picture of them. Perfect blackmail. "We won!!" Naruto shouted loudly. He ran over to Hinata and brought her into a bear hug. She looked like she was going to faint.

Tenten's POV

I was so happy we had won the match. What surprised me was when Neji hugged me tightly. "Good job, Tenten." He whispered into my ear. For the first time ever, my face turned a little red. Suddenly, I heard a camera snap. I turned around to see Ino grinning. I groaned. She was gonna blackmail me with this one day, I know it. Then, Neji released me. Sato walked over to our team. "Congratulations!" He grinned at me. "Ohh hey Sato!" I said to him, "Good game! You guys played really well. Good job." I grinned at him while saying. "We played better!" Naruto said, smiling from ear-to-ear, his arm still on Hinata's shoulder. Sato shook Neji's hand, as he was the team captain. Neji just answered with a 'hn'. I elbowed him. "Be nice for once!" I told him. He sighed, then muttered, "Good game, Sato."

Later when Sato and Tenten are alone

"Hey, Tenten?" Sato asked me. "Yeah?" I answered. "Will you...... um........ go on a date with me?" He stuttered while asking. I smiled. "I-" I suddenly froze.

Heya, girl! Been a long time....

Shit, after so many encounters, Inner Tenten's back.

Sooo, a guy's asking you out, huh? Who would've thought? Sato Yuki.... hmmm.... don't you already have someone in mind, Me?

I grunted. Not the time, IT!!

Hyuga Neji, right? I know we like him, Me. I get it, he's hot and smart and sooo dreamy, but you need a man, Me! Try going out with this guy, for fun! Follow my advice, girl. Byeeee

I so definitely do NOT like Neji, never, no........right? Anyway, I had no intention of going out with anyone but....I decided to give Sato a chance. "Umm.... okay!" I told him. He smiled happily. A part of me told me that I already had someone I liked.....But I couldn't accept the fact that I liked Hyuga Neji.
