When you're with me

Colors and designs and even a smile are easy to describe, but feelings are a bit more difficult to me, your the buzz of the first firework I lit. You give me something to breathe for and I always find myself inhaling you instead of oxygen.
Sometimes, you choke the air from my lungs without even knowing. I see radiated light in your eyes and skin and your entire being, really, like a glowing sunset with no twilight.
My name on your tongue rolls off more perfectly than French, but I crave nothing more than to hear you say 'I love you.' The words burst like our laughter and are heavy like our knotted limbs. I could fall asleep to your voice or I could be ripped away by a fearsome wave, then blame it all on the way you smile at me.
