Max eventually found Willow down in between the Mercedes and Red Bull motorhomes where she had gone and hoped to be unnoticed by anyone.
But unfortunately for her Max's eyes never left Willow's small frame as she weaved in and out of the people who occupied the busy paddock.
"Willow, are you okay?" Max wondered as he stood in front of Willow who was leaning her against the Red Bull motorhome with her head in her hands. "Willow talk to me, you look like you've seen a ghost."
"It's my mom. She's here. In my driver's room. I haven't spoken to her since I found out that she tampered with my anti- doping test in F2." Willow explained before doing something that caught Max by surprised.
Willow screamed into her hands. A pure frustrated and angry scream. After a moment she stopped and sighed as she dropped her hands down by her side.
"Oh." Max said making the shape with his mouth.
"Yeh oh." Willow replied once she finished screaming. "She's the most awful person I know. First she blames me for dad's death and then tries to ruin my racing career by fixing my doping test. I may have never drove again after that if it wasn't for Rene."
"I understand how you feel Willow. But don't let her ruin this. This is your dream and you've grabbed it with both hands and proved you belong here. Come on. I'll get your stuff from your room and you can get ready in mine."
"Thanks Max." Willow smiled in reply before the pair headed back towards the Red Bull motorhome.
Although neither of them had noticed the young Australian Alpine reserve driver watching them appear from in between the two motorhomes and head back inside their team building.

Willow got ready in Max's drivers room after he arrived back from her room with her race suit and fire proofs- saying her mother wasn't there when he arrived.
The American feared where exactly her mother would pop up next in the paddock but a part of her was hoping that she had gotten the message and gone back home.
Willow left Max in his drivers room to get ready as she grabbed her water bottle and headed over to the garage.
As she walked through the paddock the thought finally dawned on her. One that she had been too shocked to think of earlier.
How did her mom even get into the paddock in the first place? Let alone all the way into her driver's room.
Someone had helped her. Getting into the paddock was a very elite privilege that not many got to enjoy.
Although Willow had to turn her personal thoughts aside and become the racer she was because even personal and work lives cross in this line of work it gets dangerous.
Willow walked into the garage and her whole focus turned to getting that helmet on her head and into the car asap.
Even though this was her job, it was her favourite thing in the world and she knew it was the perfect thing to try and get her mind off her mom.

As much as Willow thought the weekend couldn't get any worse, life always found a way to throw a spanner in the works.
The American had been completely out of form during qualifying and was eliminated in Q2 starting in P13 tomorrow.
She had stormed out of the garage after returning her car in a terrible mood.
This was not the type of driver she was. She was a high performance athlete at the top of her game in the prime of her career. She had to be better than this.
Unfortunately for Willow her outburst had been televised on screens around the circuit and in the paddock which was how Oscar had known exactly where Willow was when he found her.
The Australian entered the Red Bull motorhome in search of his girlfriend and as expected he found her in her driver room.
"Ugh!" Willow exclaimed as she zipped down her race suit before sitting down with her head in her hand.
"Ahhhh." The American screamed as she stood up and dropped kicked the plastic water bottle on her table across the room just as the door opened.
"Woah!" Oscar exclaimed at the sight he had just walked in on. "Everything good?"
"Does it look like everything is good?" She asked her boyfriend sarcastically as she gestured to herself and the bottle that now lay across the room.
"Sorry. Stupid question." Oscar replied as he closed the door before walking over and wrapping his arms around Willow. "Tell me what's wrong."
"I think my mom being here has thrown me completely off my form. Honestly I thought after what happened with my doping test that I'd never see her again. I didn't want to see her again." Willow explained with her cheek pressed against Oscar's chest and her arms wrapped around his waist while his were around her shoulders.
Oscar said nothing as he simply held the brown haired girl in his arms. His stomach was in knots as he thought of the mistake he had made.
"It's okay. Don't let it get to you. I'm sure you could as the team to keep her away. Or better yet I can tell security she's not wanted in the paddock." Oscar spoke as he rested his head on top of Willow's.
"Thanks Oscar." Willow smiled as she snuggled her face into his chest further while he placed a kiss on top of her head with the couple staying in that position for a few minutes longer.

Okay so I rally wanna bring the story up to present day but I don't want to have to write all those chapters🙈
I also really wanna write about Willow finding out Oscar is going to McLaren.
Any ideas of how to get from here to there and then there to present day would be greatly appreciated 😂
