Ires held his head while his thoughts ran amok in there trying to break out of the prison that was so very small. Ires thought about Soet and the event that changed everything and also changed nothing. He hadn't done anything to make him angry or even frustrated other than the time when the stupid bracelet had to warm up and ruin everything!!! "STUPID, STUPID BRACELET!!!" Ires slammed his wrist down on the edge of the table and his bracelet shined as brilliant as ever. Ires hunched over and cried. . .cried for himself, for his family and the fact that he was probably never going to see them again, cried for everything and wondered at how and when things went so so wrong.

The door opened a crack and Ires looked over to it only to find himself inches away from a face that looked shocked at his breakdown. Ires scrambled back and took a deep breath to calm himself down and found a blush creeping into his cheeks as he stuttered an apology to the surprised girl, " So. . . Sorry" Seliva nodded and looked away. Seliva also took a deep breath and asked " I almost remember last night, did I say anything silly?" Ires smirked and said " Well, you cooould say that, but basically you said something about being greater than ourselves." Seliva sighed " At least I didn't say anything too silly." Ires smiled and replied " Oh, and I had to carry you to your bed because you were too tried." Seliva's eyes widened "Wh. . .What!?!?" That blush reappearing on her cheeks. Ires laughed, relived to get rid of all that negative energy and have some fun, God, it feels like years since I felt this good. Ires laughed eager to let it all out " Hey Seliva, don't sweat it" He said with a smile.

It wasn't long before Seliva joined him in the uncontrollable fits of laughter. As they were doubling over, a big bang erupted from downstairs. Ires stopped laughing so suddenly that it scared him. It took Seliva a little bit longer to catch her breath and join him on his side. Ires stood fully alert and his eyes were darting side by side and they landed on the stairs. Oh No.

Ires walked carefully around the stairs looked down, there was a villager from the nearby houses. Ires sighed in relief and called out to him "Hello!!" The figure of a man spun around and Ires realized his mistakes too late as his hopes sunk to the bottom of the ocean. The man wore an angry expression. . . No, not an angry expression but an expression of fury that seemed to turn a person to stone just by looking at it and it sucked all the warmth in you leaving you cold to the core. Ires stood there for a second then his brain kicked back in. He spun and ran toward Seliva who was opening her mouth but got cut when Ires put his hand over her mouth and then all that came out were muffled cries. Ires motioned her to be quiet and to follow him. Seliva nodded and started creeping toward the window that overlooked the whole town.
A loud moan made them turn their heads around and the sight was gruesome. The zombie. . . Zombies, great thinking, Ires. You're a genius. . . turned and tripped and its face smashed against the hard oak wood and ended with a sickening squish as part of its brain rolled away from its head and sunk into a squishy mess that seemed to melt into the wood yet the man kept on coming. Seliva shrieked at the sight of brain and Ires almost vomited right then and now. Ires led her away and walked with her toward the window and pushed it open with one hand.

The cool air of the morning struck Ires like a sledgehammer and he almost fell asleep just content smelling the fresh air. He shook his head trying to clear his head from that refreshing air that had yet to fill his lungs. Ires looked down over the window and shuddered as he saw the concrete floor that was on the bottom and right then Ires know if he jumped out the window, he would not survive. Ires turned back to the man with a shuddering Seliva in his arms trying to make herself as small as possible in the space provided. Ires though of the only other possible plan and it was risker than the last. Right at that time, the man fell down a second time on a nail sticking out the wooden floor, Ires was extremely relived that the zombie was so slow. The man's left arm was hanging loose and was held up to the body was thin stand of bone that snapped as the man got up and it fell down to the floor to join the part of the brain that had yet to resemble anything like a brain. Ires' world spun in many directions and it spun way too fast to make out anything. Ires grabbed something cold and Ires firmly grabbed whatever that was and the world slowly screeched to a stop. Ires saw the zombie about 7 feet away and coming straight at them as if it didn't just lose a part of its brain and a arm. Ires freed himself from Seliva's death grip and took a shaky step toward the man and took a stuttering breath and raised a arm and swung it at a example of a bad result of an brain operation. Ires' fist connected with the man's face and his head swung back but still came towards Ires. Ires grabbed the man's neck and pushed away and delived a punch to the face and the man's head swung again for the second time and this time the man's head struck against the walls and the head seemed to seep through Ires' fingers as the head exploded and splattered gore all over his clothes and his face. Seliva was around coner, her eyes viewing something far far away. Ires looked over her and then the man. " What the hell, just happened" Ires stood looking at the man for a while and then wrapped his arms around Seliva and cried once again but this time it was deeper as two people entered his heart, one was cold and powerful and the other one was warm and powerful.

In his presence the mountains quake,
and the hills melt away;
The earth trembles, and its people are destroyed.
Who can stand before his fierce anger?
Who can survive his burning fury?
His rage blazes forth like fire,
and the mountains crumble to dust in his presence
